MURDER IN ST AUGUSTINE: MAN STABBED TO DEATH

A 44-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death in St Augustine on Thursday.

The victim has been identified as Dial Seepersad of Temple Street, St Augustine.
According to reports, around 8.50 am Seepersad was walking along Dookiesingh Street Extension when a 14-year-old boy allegedly spat on him.

The victim confronted the teenager who reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Seepersad in the chest.

The victim ran off and fell a short distance away.

The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle.

The emergency health services were contacted, however, the man succumbed his injuries.

Investigations are continuing.

MURDER IN CHASEVILLAGE: OWNER OF FIT FOR LIFE PHARMACY KILLED

The owner of Fit For Life Pharmacy was found hanging with a cord around his neck at the Upper Floor of the Building in Chase Village where he resides.

He was identified as 55 year old Robert Soogrim.

A large sum of money and the DVR are also missing. There was no sign of forced entry.

MP for Couva North Constituency, Ramona Ramdial expressed her condolences to the family of Soogrim.

Many other persons expressed their shock over his untimely passing.
