If priced right, that would be a nice tuner car..

my mistake, I've always called those "light trucks," but you're right. Anyway, this thread is about the Veloster, and I already went off topic with my first comment, so back to the Veloster Turbo
Based on the reviews I've read/ seen on the regular Veloster, it seems as though it's a pretty well screwed together, nicely equipped, practical, decently handling piece of car, but with mediocre power being its achilles heel. Hopefully the Turbo delivers 8-)

the "ultimate" would have been the motor swap from the sonata turbo or evo10......

Well it's falling right in Mini CooperS and GTi territory.

the "ultimate" would have been the motor swap from the sonata turbo or evo10......

More like the opposite -> watch for this Veloster 1.6 turbo to make it to any future Evo successors (if mitsubishi changes their minds that is).

^^That's a possibility. On the other hand, Subaru showed a concept 1.6 direct-injection turbo at a recent auto show. It wasn't mated to any car or transmission, but there is talk that it could make it into either the BRZ, or dare I say, a future lightweight STi something....since they apparently want to move the car to a smaller and lighter platform....

If the latter is true, and given how the evo and sti always have such striking similarities, who knows. Maybe the evo might end up with one too.

Yes it's quite roundabout logic, but it makes you wonder.....

the iq is real toots REALLL toots lol
the subaru 1.6 is a scaled down version of the 2.0 in the brz speculation that it will be a special order engine

Check out the Veloster the other day....for all its worth it is contemptuous for me because of the fake body vents.

Who told you that? The N&M salesperson I spoke with never referred to it as a sports car.

You are championing the Abarth on what? Certainly not the aesthetics, because that car is even uglier than the Veloster.

*steps back......hmmmm well ok ..in the red the Veloster looks a bit appealing (the mini Audi A8 wheels kinda save it).... but the design lines still look shiddy...its not so much the lines than the fluidity of it...like two design teams went at it in a vacuum..and met midway....the front does not compliment the rear in anyway..unless of course, Renault was the team designing it..t.hen it all makes sense...

But i digress...sorry...

This is 2NR. . .digression is part of every thread, no need to apologise. The only redeeming thing, aesthetics wise, about the Abarth is the seats, the 500 is so ugly, no matter what trim level you choose. Fiat must have hired the designers who have third class honours degrees to do the design.

BANzai Rastafarai, check the thread link below, it has some information which may be of value to you.

^^ HAHAHAHAH a @ Optometrist link.... lololol

nah man Rory...i think its a matter of perception... since the Veloster came out i've been confused by its looks...like a rich kid that opened the "options" catalouge at Hyundai and said "GIMME ALL D OPTIONS!! OF ALL D CARS!!!"

wa-la. Veloster.
