PRESSURE DEY! THATS MY PROBLEM I HAD 4-5 months ago and now it has reached the stage of not starting properly and if it does, not revving out enough and shutting off when putting it on drive.

Also, what can cause that is fuel pressure problem(bad pump in tank or up front) OR check your fuel feed lines to the front pump and see if its leaking, any tiny leak will cause that as well.

Also, plugs, make sure you using the correct plugs. Check coilpacks as well, these cause a problem also.

If all else fails, then its the big black box in front. This is what has caused my problem and hopefully when i collect the car January i can plug in the new one and see if it fixes the problem.

Damn GDI thing making me more angry than angry birds, 5 months or more its been down.

By the way, is it GDI or non GDI?

bad airflow will cause it, probably both bad. But i've seen a 4g93t start, drive and rev up without an airflow! It was confusing.

Non turbo and turbo was working on mines when i first put in the engine. If u dont get thru with it by time i get my car back, u can come up and try my airflow.

Noisy lifters are a common problem. So even cleaning them won't solve it permanently? Where are you guys from? $1600 seems a little excessive for a brand new set.

noisy lifters are a common problem or trade mark for the 4g93t engine , i experimented with dfferent oils and i came to the conclusion Mobil 15/50 or 20/50 grade fully synthetic usually helps with the ticking, different engines due to wear and tear obviously have different characteristcs.

The Ausies have a permamnet fix to this lifter issue and Meek.com or ftzoneracing.com stocks a re-engineered lifter check them out ....

Lil information for the 2nd/3rd Gen guys... The both engine blocks similar if not same!

The GDI turbo block installed on GSR head and working!
I'm guessing most if not all internal parts interchangeable!

Fellas I'm fedup of the ticking in my head... I tried a dozen different oils and I even took the lifters out and clean them (which only stopped the ticking for a few weeks)!

I'm now looking into ordering a new set of lifters out of UK... From my calculations a set would be about $2,500TTD landed!

What u guys think?

^How long does the tin last? Planned on trying it later this week!

I bought 2-3 used tappet/rocker cover only to find out that they were leaking... got fedup and bought a brand new cover, straight from japan! Dont ask the price!

Starter motor should be fairly easy to get... I got one here in Bago with no probs, so it should be much easier to locate in Trini
