Help Needed Ford Focus!!!!!

Postby ase_tt » January 25th, 2010, 2:08 pm

Guys,

I came home last night car working fine....started the car this morning and realized that when i move the gear shifter from Park to reverse (OR ANY GEAR) the gears are not engaged... the car cannot move and on the dash where it shows what gear the car is in....is blank.

Has anyone had this problem?

Mechanic says it cud be the transmission or controller... but the parts fackin expensive.

quite of few of the techs in Ford do private jobs actually, and they can sometimes get the parts at cheaper prices

well, does it make sense to use this Persad? he will not have the tools to do the job, down time will be more, is it original parts he uses or is it original make belief? plus no guaranties on his jobs.....so you always have to return by him .....does this really make sense???????????
