BC vs D2 Coilovers

Postby turbo_beast369 » May 13th, 2012, 10:05 am

Has anyone here installed BC coilovers on their ride or know someone that did. I wanna know how it rides and if it rides smoother than D2 coilovers on the softest setting with the lowest spring rates...not really interested in the handling and cornering aspect, once it gives a close to stock ride where I can adjust ride height when I want...

car in my avatar (CS Lancer)...i don't expect a stock ride which is why i gonna opt for the lowest spring rates but I willing to sacrifice that instead of butchering my suspension and gettin a "bess ride" from the many local shops in trini...I can probably get the drop with certain lowering springs but I want coilovers to be able to adjust ride height if necessary

We distribute DGR Coilover kits .They come with 30 levels of damping force adjustment to choose from and full-length height adjustment (threaded) allowing an extremely low ride height. Various spring rates are available to provide the more technical driver with various set-up options.
The kits are widely sold in the US and Asia and are now being marketed in the Caribbean at low introductory prices.

Ksport, D2, Megan Racing, XYZ & Tein (basic) are all similar in price... With different spring rates and damper adjustment!

BC = 30 level with 8kg(F) & 5kg(R)

VYZ = 30 level with 8kg(F) & 6kg(R)

TEIN = 0 level with 7kg(F) & 5kg(R)

D2 = 36 level with 7.5kg(F) & 6kg(R)

KSPO = 36 level with 7kg(F) & 5kg(R)

MEGA = 32 level with 8kg(F) & 6kg(R)

From these specs I would go with the KSport for ur application... Lowest spring rates, plenty of adjustment and reasonable priced :mrgreen:

^ if you do some proper diggin.. you will see most are made by the same .. just different label .. that is the pressure

and for stock ride you have to go less than 7F and 6 R

BC gets my vote, installed a set recently, super expensive. But the build quality is superb.

but $$ for $$, i could of get a similar thing for cheaper, as the height and dampening wont need to be adjusted on the vehicle installed it on.

but Ted.... if the height and dampening adjustment wont be needed to adjusted anytime after its installed..... why bother to install it in the first place..? :lol:

coilovers are built specifically for that purpose..... to have the ability to adjust height and dampening of the vehicle at any future time without having to remove / install anything

my $0.02.... coil overs are good but if you not going to fully use the system to its full potential.... via auto cross or whatever it makes no sense.... best to stick wit lowerin shock and sport springs. bu to each his own. :lol:

BC has my vote too.
Customer service from the dealer is usually great and I have seen it on action on the track.
Contemplating a set for my ride but not yet.
