sho, the ultra looking good but somehow I find the one that came with the gt looks way better.
I think the ultra will be better if it is painted black to match the engine bay and colour of the car.

I ordered one from ebay (not ultra) ... it has the 'lancer ex' etched into it.. problem is that it is coming from china.
Contact with the seller who gave me atracking number for chinapost said it left china on 4/4/12 according to tracking site.
Thing is their is no way I can track it now , emailed the seller who also told me once it leaves china it takes about 30 days to reach US or EURO and another 30 days to reach the destination country and their is no way they can track it.

Any idears for people who purchase things from china?

I loving the ultra bar trust me if the oem was better I would have aquired it. Made quite a noticeable difference when compared to the cheaper bars that do flex.
Anthony I will lend the ultra bar to you if you want for a few days to compare it with your bar.

The evo bar does not flex you would most likely hear little suspension noise when you put it on.These thing are tight. The ultra bar is a really well made bar and if you keep upgrading you can keep the same white theme throughout the car ultra stuff is all white. Couple of white stickers would dress up the engine bay and match the bar.

Is there much of a difference in fuel consumption between the 1.6 model and the 2.0gt model? Assuming both models driven in the same manner.

You could buy it on ebay. Do a search for oem mud guards lancer 08+. Just specify if you have the side flares or not.Use a vin # from online US car sales so they can verify the fitment. You can pm me if you want more details.
Item is MZ314116 OEM part comes with instructions.

Guys i need some opinion here thanks....

I am in the process in buying a new vehicle and was leaning to the CY Lancer from the firm.
210k for the all in one package inclusive of 3 years insurance, 50k free service.

What i notice and not sure if it's true is the leg room in the backseat, how is it? from looking at it my CS3 "looks" like it has more leg room. No reverse sensors? Sale rep told me i have do install my own alarm, tint, reverse sensors.......she really unsold that Lancer to me....

I ask why the older CY has steering controls and the answer was i don't know, she don't know if it's keyless entry, don't know why the fully loaded package does not have sunroof and so on......

I still like it but many questions un answered....

Homeboy , call curtis young at 307-1356 at DM POS.

The lancer now comes with a 1.6 L engine
The basic model GLX ie no hids, afs, alloy wheels,no flair /sproiler package is $196,000.00.
Next is the 1.6 GLS . IT come with HIDs, AFS, full flair package, 6CD/ radio player, roof antenna etc for $ 210,000.00.

Next is the 2.0L basic . It has no HID,AFS,no rear disc , no 18 wheels, no flair kit/ sproiler etc and cost $220,000.00

Then the have the 2.0 L GT sports package , full flair kit /sproiler, discs on all fours, 18 rims, paddle shifters for $267,000.00.

I notice all vehicles comes with auto folding mirrors and factory installed immoblizer ie you see it as a key symbol on display. They also come with curb light whatever that is.

For me these are so darm expensive .

^Thanks for the info Anthony.......I think that the prices are really to high for the package, i don't mind buying the Lancer but seeing that i am spending over 200k for an up to date car with rear drum brakes, no steering controls, no bluetooth and so on really not what i plan for with a budget of over 200k.........

I presently have the CS3A Lancer and really wishes to stay with the Lancers but DM changing my mind......the only thing is that the prices are inclusive of 3 years insurance and 50,000 kms free service if you take financing from Ansa....

The Curb lights are additional lights that turn on when cornering left or right that focuses on the turn for better lighting....not the fogs or head lights i was told it's an additional light but i haven't checked where it comes from.......

That is the AFS adaptive focus system .... as you turn the wheel such as when cornering these additional lights comes on .... it does not work over 90 km/hr

All new good looking vehicles with various gadgets be it toyota, mitsu, haundai, etc are expensive ie over 200K.

Vehicles less than that are tida, yaris, diahsu etc.

Homeboy,

Check the new car thread for prices of the competitors of the Lancer. Whilst the Lancer giving you drums in the back, so too would Nissan with their Sylphy and Kia with the 4 door Cerato. The Civic and Corolla would give you 4 disc brakes but they lots more expensive than the Lancer.

The Elantra would actually give you the best value for money features wise but then its just not a Mitsubishi.

^Some nice cars there bro.......sorry i am leaving the Lancer for another brand/model only because DM is selling IMO the lowest grade for a fully loaded package.......
They have the GLS model and for some reason i can't find this on the net, they say fully loaded but no sunroof, leather interior, 4 wheel disks and so on.......they have an add on the express and one of the features listed is factory air condition? really? out of 4 features listed one has to be factory air condition?..........no doubt i will buy another lancer but not from DM...

URGENT HELP/ADVICE!

had my lancer parked outside for a week as I went abroad on business, on my return I started the car, everything seemed alright until I drove and slowed down about 400m, the car started to jerk like it wanted to cut off. I stopped, switched off, started it back, as I drove and the gears changed it would jerk every time. I got home parked it up and left it till the next day. The next morning I started it up in the garage and it would jerk intermittently in P and N but in D and R it gets severely worse. I suspect its the transmission, but what could have led this problem so suddenly and is there a possibility its something else causing it and what should I do. I haven't driven it since, wanted some advice before I call my mechanic, I need to know how far in my pocket I need to dig.

^^^ You could check the fuel filter, air filter, plugs, injectors, throttle body and service your air flow sensor and see if the problem goes away.
Btw when last you serviced your car?

i did some reading online and there is a possibility that a cylinder is misfiring. In the morning I would temporarily disconnect each spark wire and see if there is a difference. I noticed yest. when the car was idling the engine was shaking a lot and I was getting a bit of a coughing exhaust.
