Ainsley Laing, a South-based businessman, was killed yesterday morning when he lost control of his SUV along the Diego Martin Highway, just after KFC on Sierra Leone Road.
Police said the accident occurred at 11.50 while Laing was heading north into Diego Martin.
He reportedly lost control of his Mercedes Benz SUV, which hit the culvert on the left side of the road and flipped several times.
Laing was the proprietor of several businesses in south Trinidad, including a hotel and restaurant.
Police said several motorists called following the accident and a team of offic ers, along with an ambulance, arrived on the scene and took Laing to the St James Health Facility where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
West End police are continuing investigations.
The road death toll for the year to date is 71.

2) he may have hadd a health issue that cause this (thats why a postmortem will be done)

when reporters do stupid reports that have 0 truth they should be fired and never hired..

There is a double bend on Balmain ole road after the bridge that has the same problem.
