Also @cacasplat3 and @Pornstar, do your XT brakes squeal/howl? I was up chag today on the roads and a guy pointed out to me about my howling brakes, lol. Actually it only howls/squeals when coming to a dead stop. Kind of irritating, but I don't really take it on.

I'm using the shimano metallic pads btw, it came stock with the SLX calipers. And I can clearly remember they used to squeal also when I first had them on my hard tail.

i get some noise, but its at low speed or light braking, and not all the time......i also have huge rotors, which amplifies any noise or vibration.....in the wet....it howls, in the dry its ok i guess.....never really noticed.

Well, took my Niner Jet 9RDO out to chaguaramas today. First time on a bike with 29" wheels and I have to say, it was awesome.
Looks like my 2010 Trek 8500 hard tail is now up for sale.

Can some of the more experienced riders post some google map images of the trails in Chaguaramas (or anywhere else for that matter)?

Maybe even rate them... Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced.

I'm getting into the off-road thing... but still not sure if it's for me. May go back to road biking.

Thanks

Nice.. guess you're not up to riding with clips or cleats yet. I used to ride with clips long ago and have moved up to cleats with my current bike. But so far it's been mainly road. Not sure how I'll make out on the trails with the cleats.

Im looking to head down on Saturday and Sunday Morning.
