Well that's strange because I am "supposed" to be on the Metro line,I am a Business subscriber after all with Columbus Communications, lost quite a bit today due to this but things happen also my backup was slow as hell, thanks green network

Mine is a bit weird but I blame my file server too. YouTube streaming fine. I guess I'm expecting too much or got too accustomed to getting the Max speed all the time

I'm now making the switch over to flow (first time for internet only).
How long approximately does it take for you to actually obtain the service
after signing up online and what procedures again will be effected
(apart from the installation payment). Also, what's the contract like
(I'm certain there's going to be some kind of contract entered into)
and if so, what's the time frame/package like (if choices are available)?

I don't know about that online thing, but if you called and spoke to someone they usually give you a date for installation.

No contract (as far as I know)

I'm in Endeavour, Chaguanas on Flow (10MB basic) and for the past few days I've noticed torrents d/l at max +/- 125 kbps. This is at varying times during the day - up to 10 pm at night, and currently during the day at 1330 hrs. Other streaming services (Netflix, youtube, etc) work pretty fine. It is possible that torrent traffic is being throttled still.

I did a speed test to Miami and got between 7-8 Mbps down & 0.75 Mbps up. I then did a speedtest to London and got 1.4 Mbps down and 0.13 up !!!! WTF??!!

I thought that was rather interesting. Anyone has any thoughts on that?

According to the OOKLA Speedtest I did (today):
Ping: 70ms
DS: 1.00 Mbps
US: 1.17 Mbps

I have the Turbo 20 i.e. 20 Mbps/2 Mbps

I called FLOW about 3 times on different days. All they did was reset from their end and still no improvement. When I do resets still nothing better. Many times I go way under the 1.00 Mbps for both DS & US. Cannot even go on You Tube to watch a vid @ 144p.

Right now I am at:
Ping: 81ms
DS: 0.30 Mbps
US: 1.61 Mbps

FLOW needs to come clean and explain what is going on to their customers. I also got an e-mail that some maintenance work is going to be done tonight in my area. Maybe some improvement will be noted.

I'm going to downgrade. I almost never get what I pay for now.

EDIT: Downgraded a few mins ago so I'm waiting for the changes to take effect. This morning, the most I'm seeing on servers is 7mbit. :|

Yesterday they contacted me to ask if I wanted to upgrade my business package, I couldn't help but chuckle, explained that at this time the current bandwidth I have is under utilised. Flow's service started out excellent but as time goes on it is seriously deteriorating but when the other option isn't much better, what is one to do.

Yea. They checked that. My area isn't event reached the Max yet according to them. And apparently it's ok on their end. I'll live with 10mbit for now.

So I got home and checked it about half 6, on http://www.speedtest.net/, http://speedtest.tstt.net.tt/ and http://speedtest.flowtrinidad.com/. The first two gave similar results, but flow's site showed what should actually be my speed. Did these a couple times switching them up, but results were consistent. Just checked this thread and was literally about to call, but I decided to hit a speedtest.net one more time, and would you believe that it's back to normal? (well 9.72DL/0.47UL - close enough) Psh... I'll monitor it and if it keeps dipping back down I'll call immediately. Thanks for the advice guys.
