Why 2 lanes on CRH westbound in front GB?

Whilst a nice idea just think of what has to be done before a road is even built there -
1. Acquisition of land corridor
2. Building of a bridge across the San Juan River

Bridges don't come cheaply and land acquisition will also be costly especially if the land is in private hands.

It might be expensive now, but will be better for the future.....those designers need to learn forward thinking

I saw trucks unloading backfill on the side of the road, look like they might even move that left lane further to the side

I think they merely reducing the steepness of the drop off. If you even slip of the edge as it was before its straight down you was going.

Yesterday's morning commute was ok was on the highway in Piarco at 6:25 and reached St James at 7:10.

Today was worse. Was on the highway at about 6:15 and reached down 7:30.

Yesterday afternoon commute was ok. Left St James at 3:55 and was by Bhagwansinghs by 5:10. Things flowed once I hit the Central market, but Wrightson road was slow and crawling.
Guess I should try Piccadilly route out of POS instead of Stone street.

Will try the Cruz today and see if it now makes a difference.

Not too good.
Left St James at 4pm. Reached Trincity at 5:25.
The traffic in the EMR @ Mt Lambert really kills the flow.
Will attempt both routes a few times again to see if Cruz is no longer a faster route.

Every single day. I also encounter them by the roundabout in the back by Cost Lo as well. Am convinced most people do not know how roundabouts operate.

i heard the curepe section gonna start within the next 2 mths, the final land acquisition stuff is being done, the talk is: kaydonna, and environs hadda go, kfc, the jungle gym building, gas station etc has to go as well

can anyone confirm?

possibly. See the original highway works thread for the drawings. But we all know how those things change with time.

I will merge this thread with that in time.

all the fools from two south bound lanes merging with the exit from aranguez to filter back onto the two lanes they just came out from........

need police or warden to direct that traffic there....
