True to this.... I try to constantly clean the filter and so on bt it would apper to be allowing more particles into the engine. as long as nothing too large gets in there, i would be happy. these n/a 4ds need every bit of power they can get to get some speed

hey guys bought a 2009 sportero (3.2L 4m41, auto) this week and had my mech check it out before buying and the airbag light was on. Mech made sure vehicle was not in any accidents. but from research here i realize that this is a common flaw with the SPortero.

Where can i get a clock spring replacement besides the dealership?

does the light disappear after replacing clock spring or do i need a special machine to clear the code or simply battery disconnect??

you need the code cleared when the clock spring is replaced

the dealership can clear it for you

305-9900 will sort you out

doing my first automatic transmission oil change , i was just wondering how much oil do i need.....the book....(owners manual ) says 9 quarts but i read previously in this thread that it actually uses 15 quarts !!!!...can someone please clarify !

Hey Guys,
Just thought I would let you all know I very much appreciate you all sharing your experiences. I Joined Trinituner YEARS ago but barely ever sign in. Started reading the posts yesterday and I dont know what the heck I was thinking of to NOT be paying attention.

Anyways, I am the proud owner of a TCJ Sportero. Bought it from DM South. Had very little problems with it and I am by no means knowledgeable but I DO know who to go to if I am in a jam and need it tuned or fixed (Dr. B in South) That guy is the best, really nice chap too. I have had issues of course the Clock spring and the power switch on the seat. Other than that everything is cool for the hour.
About to put on some AT tires (Falken - 7000TTD) for the 4 - DDDAAAAMMMMMNNNNNNN). Any alternative suggestions would be appreciated. I do mainly highway running. I am also about to put on the snorkel just in case I run into some flood waters. Either way, its time to seriously up my 4x4 IQ so I will be dialing into this station on the regular from now on. Anyway, keep up the good work fellas. Its definitely appreciated.

A snorkel totally changes the appearance. It's also a very nice thing on turbo vans. Stock setup would work unless you're a serious offroader

Snorkel will cost me around 3000TTD. So my neighbor says and he seems pretty knowledgeable. Nice guy too. Been trying to get me to take it to the next level with the lift modifications and so on but I do a lot of highway running and I drive fast so I am not willing to go there in a hurry. I am leaning in that direction though.

To be honest if u don't off road no real need for the snorkel, if you want to get into it I can think of a few things well before a snorkel to get

Other wise they look the beans =D lol but 3k seems steep

we try to make here the go to place for all things L200

the KB4\KB8 models are really nice vehicles

Dr. B is the go-to guy that's for sure

that snorkel is purely cosmetic for you unless you plan to do serious offroading - wading in water higher than the level of your stock intake (inside right fender)

AT tyres are very nice when needed in non-asphalt surfaces, however if you are predominantly a highway\asphalt driver like myself, then you may find that they wear quicker than HT or ST tyres

I have gone thru several sets of A/T in my current and previous L200 (K74) and find that it doesn't last as long as HT when used for mostly (high speed) highway driving
