I'm running 12.5:1 cr and I'm getting sputtering at low rpms from 1 to 3, rough idleling and general lack of performance.
Was advised to try an octane booster.

Try to warn you all about unipet already... anyhow octane boosters do work at reducing pinking.... but the price of any good quality octane booster might as well put premium one time.
Also because mmt is the main chemical used in aftermarket octane boosters; if used expect to see the tips of your sparkplugs sporting a rust color.
Use the octane booster just to get through this tank of fuel and find a more reliable gas station

Question. .. Are the synchros for 2nd and 3rd really that weak or did you try to flat shift trough the gears

Half :
The DC5 engine is 11:5 and pings with premium

Your engine is 1pt higher . However if they shaved the head etc the compression will be even higher.

check the plugs ... should be 7

I ran the same combo on a B16 and the timing had to be reduced ALOTTTT. If that does not work , Meth will be your saviour.

Bumping this for some info. Any DC5 owners ever had to change front control arm bushings? If so what was used and part numbers? Thanks.

The RD5 Crv might be the closest match for the bushings just not 100% sure cuz Honda catalog for JDM DC5 only has the arm complete whereas Crv and Civic have part numbers for the bushings. Best way to be sure is to get a cradle to take measurements.

What repacement options do you guys have when its time to change rotors?
