If ur throttle body is stock size, it should not matter. If u go with a bigger throttle body, then I would recommend an upgrade to the K&N cone style filter and 2.5" piping.

At present i have a stock throttle body and intake hose. Took it for a drive and loved the induction noise after 4000 rpm :wink:

. Cant tell if its any faster lol. I got the idea after reading the teamswift thread above 8-)

. Today i took off my door panels to see if the power window motors work. Hooked up some speaker wire directly to the battery and then to the connection of the windows. They work almost perfectly. So im thinking that my switches are the problem. Ill know in a few days as ill borrow the switches from a friends gti.

Glad you picked up something u liked there. Team swift has a lot of information some unfinished ideas, some not so great and some to hold on to. A lot of sifting to do so have fun!

Also please stick to the 2.5 inch diameter and nothing bigger, remember you want air velocity and not necessarily volume

What material is best for the intake hose? metal, rubber, pvc pipe? Got to try my friends window switch and it didnt work. so switch is not the problem. Im really stumped now. Can anyone tell me which fuse (where its located) is for the power windows? I have half a mind just to wire up my own DPDT switches and power it through the cigarette lighter :idea:

. Any thoughts on this?

I used aluminium like many other people, PVC may be a good idea or rubber also....

With respect to the link you posted, don't enlarge your maf unless you have some tuning device to compensate fuel. Reports said from team swift it should not be done unless tuned for.

If you look anywhere the most worthwhile mod per dollar is a ecu chip for these cars

I NOW have Power Windows!!

Created my own circuit using 2 DPDT switches, Cigarette lighter adapter, 20A fuse, wires and electrical tape lol. Its temporary(ish) (twist and tape) but IT WORKS!! Breeze in the cabin feels nice 8-)

Those two empty slots left of the steering wheel come in real handy!

Badly want the chip!! How does the chip compare to the stock ecu(on a near stock gti) on caribbean fuel(95 octane)? anyone here chipped their gti?

95 octane is the fuel to run with it, the chip has been said to smoothen the power delivery of a stock motor. One other member here I know has used the Toms 2 chip, he should give a review soon.
