Thats my rhd lancer..2.0l...it goes till about 190 and then speed cuts drops it back down to 180 on its own....

My guage goes all the way up to 240

Thinking about something and just throwing it out here.

Would the F/Used GTs which are restricted to ~180kph accelerate faster up to that point than the local GTs which are unrestricted?

Looking at the speedo pic IPES posted, the car is practically at redline doing 180. For an unrestricted car doing 225kph, I can only assume the RPM would be around the same position. Thus the "gearing ratios"of the CVT would be higher, thus accelerating slower (at least theoretically).

Usually with unrestricted vs limited cars there is just a cut in the engine power at 180, with transmission gearing remaining the same (i.e. with conventional transmissions). Is there a difference with the CVT computer between the GTs restricted at 180 and those that aren't?

EDIT:
Thinking about it for some time now, I realise that the tach being at redline on the CVT is just a product of pressing the accelerator to the floor, regardless of vehicle speed and the "gear ratio" the CVT is in. Scratch the above - I think I answered my own question

Mine is a '08 lancer....bone stock besides a k&n drop in and a barrel
I hit 200 normal between maloney and piarco lights
My guess is the speed cut set a bit higher in the local gt's

That's a 2014 model? I thought the multi-info display went from monochrome to colour in 2011 or 2012 thereabouts?

Or am I expecting too much from the local dealer's offerings?

yeah the yom is 2014. Guy in work has a 2013 and it's the same display also.

Mine is a 2010 Local 1.5 Fully Loaded and the Tach is on the left as well.. I believe when they did the minor facelift with the flare kit, and the clear tail lights the the Instrument panel was flipped

by the way, i did jus above 190 km/h with my 1.5 CY lancer using super gas

Need some advice when installing a DVD deck on aftermarket dash kit
Do I use back the original brackets(from OEM deck) to mount new deck in dash kit?
The dash kit comes with 2 side plastic brackets which seems sketchy

I use the OEM brackets on both my 08 & 13 cy's
