It's simple buy a 6A13TT an do a easy swap using back your tranny. An be driving in a week. Or go all out with AWD conversion be driving in a month at least .

Why does everyone wanna go with a 6A13TT engine?? that engine can't take too much jamming i find......also wouldn't parts be hard to find??. IMO the best swap for the galants is a 4G63T, straight swap as well, easier to get parts for modification, and more reliable at higher HP levels.

6A13TT Can't take jamming u say? I never had problems with mine an been using it for years.

An what about the cost difference EVO engines go for less than $5,000 ?

What about those aftermarket parts are they ever cheap?

Will the EVO engine mate with his current tranny an save him more dollars? Will he even get a 2WD gearbox to use with it.? Nope...So I guess he has to do the whole AWD swap to use it.

Trust me If money was no problem we all would do the EVO swap.

6A13tt a great engine and stock vs stock would wup the 4g63t that you getting from that evo 4 (that most men running). The only reason I'd say go 4g63t over 6a13tt is for aftermarket support. Face it after you jump out the money for a 63t you can't do much else until next backpay season, while all that time 6a13tt man/woman kicking Ass and taking names.
6A13tt takes a good beating if you have common sense and pay attention to your vehicle's performance.

Wouldn't using the 6A13TT engine on the same tranny cause damage to the tranny after a while?? And yea ik what u mean with the price difference, but I believe in doing sumn good and done. Why just drop in a 6A13TT and not upgrade brakes and suspension?? If u start doing that u gonna spend a good bit anyway so just bite the bullet and do it right and done....well that's my opinion.

And when I said can't take jammin I don't mean stock, I'm tlking as in if u looking to increase HP, from all the reviews I've read the 6A13TT isn't really reliable after 350HP

Trust me easiest swap is the 6A13TT. Having done it myself. All the stock intercooler pipes fit. The front an rear VR4 big brakes and rotors bolt up the vr4 dual core radiator fits. U don't need to hire an electrician because the electricals to the engine just plugs in an it's like kids play. All you have to do is make sure everything on tight all fluids right up hook up battery an turn the key to start.

That's just the bare basic install without the fancy dash cluster or AWD saves u thousands.

I Never recommend something unless I am using it myself....

Nope the tranny does not mash up.... Surprise

Seriously considering this or the 6a13 n/a swap. How easy are these to get foreign used and what price do they go for? What about the engine mounts and anything else needed for the conversion? I think the 6a13tt might be overkill for me.

I was contemplating the 6a12 dohc swap. Original tranny will work, power is similar or close so no reason to upgrade brakes etc. Engine with brain, harness etc was going for 5500, this was some years ago, not sure the price now. Decided to rally with my gdi though.

Torque steer is so exaggerated when ppl talking about 6a13tt going fwd. Had it with the tip in the in the fto was normal. It lacked discipline when I did the manual conversion but the bamsey clenching swerve everyone talks about wasn't that big. It's Fwd not rwd. You'll spin tyres like a MOFO but it'll live.

Well take my word for it. Good tyres, suspension and not driving too much like an idiot (don't be a Wetman). With manual 1st+2nd= wheelspin from launch 3rd & 4th are what you play with, we still had limiter on so 5th was always short lived. With the tiptronic it was allot tamer but you could still deal with RB25, sr20 blah blah.

Anyone know the stock radiator cap pressure for a VRG galant? Not sure if its 0.9 or 1.1.

Replaced my faulty radiator cap with the 0.9 one. Working great so far. Also rollingstock by chance you know the coolant to use in the radiator. Previous owner used straight tap water :/

Thanks for the info man. Also anyone ever had problems with rear bushings? The back of my car feels really loose when the rear is loaded with people. The tire feels as though it shifts when hitting bumps. I was told it's probably a bushing. Anyone know the one which usually causes this? That same bushing causing the back tires to camber out as well.

If you're getting that loose feeling the entire rear suspension has to be checked, you need to get to a ramp and check every component.

Do an entire suspension check while you're at it, not just the rear. If you're close enough to El Socorro side you could check Chootooram's just off the highway, I find their suspension checks tend to be a lot more detailed than those alignment places.

Hey can you give further info on the directions to the place you mentioned? Not from up that side but it'd be on my way when I'm heading to UWI.

If you're heading towards POS, just after the flyover to Aranguez, there's the turnoff to go onto the flyover, you're passing that and taking the very next turnoff (it's not a big turnoff so look out for it), as soon as you take the turnoff, there's a compound with a couple businesses on the right hand side, swing in right there and drive to the end of the compound, the place is right there. During the week the lock off around 3 o'clock, and I think on Saturdays they lock off around 12.

You could PM me if you have any more questions on how to get there.
