yesterday was defiintely a freak incident

however couple years ago wasa did a massive cleanup of culverts which run from by bus terminal to under the lighthouse

sent guys underneath to remove all the plastic bottles etc and they dredged the mud there

definitely helped, but surely those big drains would be clogged with soft drink bottles again
and regular flooding of city gate should be expected again

Chaos last night.
Terrible lightning, thunder and breeze.
Lighting damage the streetlight outside and sent a surge to our house. Thankfully nothing damage. The voltage monitor's saved my ac units, fridge, TV etc.
Saw the neighbour house in darkness after. Like thier connection get burn out.
Never saw or hear lightning and thunder like that before.

My dog and cats were terrified.

Nothing happened in Piarco whole weekend. Heat & humidity straight through.
So it made sense that this morning commute was heavy white rain from the airport to the Beetham.
