Quick action by Telecoms Security who responded to the cries of the woman resulted in the interception of a vehicle with the suspect who remains in police custody.
MovieTowne adds its own voice to that of so many in our society in expressing outrage at the senseless killings and wanton disregard for life."

THE MAN who murdered Jamielia DeRevenaux at MovieTowne, Invaders' Bay, Port of Spain, escaped.
A senior homicide detective said that police did not detain a suspect in connection with the killing. The man who was held by mall security guards is not a suspect.
The senior officer said that homicide detectives assigned to the case are expected on Monday to review footage captured on closed circuit television cameras on the compound.
DeRevenaux was at her workplace at Mandeiros' restaurant when about 8.15 p.m. she received a phone call from a man known to her and went to the car park.
She was seen walking to the car park area in the company of the suspect.
The suspect slit her throat and escaped.
When security officers of Telecoms Security responded, a man who was assisting DeRevenaux was detained and interrogated. He has since been released.
Officers from the Western Division and the Homicide Bureau responded.
Deputy Mayor of Port of Spain Hillan Morean said that DeRevenaux was employed at Port of Spain City Corporation as a labourer.
Morean said he communicated with Morean via What's app on Sunday evening, and she did not seem worried or fearful of anything or anyone.
“She was normal. She was trying to get her feet in a couple of things, in terms of financial independence. She was looking for housing and just trying to get on her feet properly”, said Morean.
“I just checking up on her and had a casual conversation. Her dad was a long-standing member of the Corporation, Lennox DeRevenaux, who passed away last year”, he said.
Morean said: “She was just saying that she was looking forward to financial independence. She wanted to get housing. She had asked me a while aback to get a letter to take to HDC (Housing Development Corporation) as she was hoping to get a call from HDC. That was the last thing we spoke about”.
“I know the family well. Her sister was there last night and I know they are feeling it. The corporation is there to support them as best as they can. We hope to assist them with getting counselling through the police”, he said.
Morean said DeRevenaux's family members were searching for the man who attempted to help her to thank him.
