I've been getting a few guys asking what EXACTLY are we looking for in terms of type, make, model, age, of cars that would be welcome....
and I tell them that we are going to be before THE WORLD, so the last thing ANY of us would want is to leave a poor impression of what "we got" here in T&T...in terms of "show cars".
.....and I also say that the name of the series we're going to be featured in is called My Classic Car....so naturally....."classics" would be what we'd want at center stage.
.....If you look at those vids of all the shows Dennis visits....they are FULL of absolutely awesome, show stopping, jaw dropping, first class nearly flawless antiques and classic cars!
Now here's the "tricky part"....we aint got nowhere NEAR the quantity and quality of classics and antiques to FULL Skinner Park!
lemme tell you guys something...when i first organized the layout at Skinner Park in 2009 for our first ever big show there...we barely had 120 cars.....take a look at the pics below>>>
You guys seeing what I'm seeing...or rather NOT seeing?
Allow me to explain with another set of pics....from 2014, 2015 and 2016
see if you guys can spot the difference
Do you guys get what I'm getting at?
Yes we've grown....but we did so TOGETHER!!!
Now....the tough part is getting the MIX...MORE towards the Old School but not leaving out the New School all together.
Bare some thing in mind guys, especially those of you who have been there from day 1....Dennis didnt just say: "ok I'm coming" a few months ago....I've been asking, and asking for almost 3 years now.....SHOWING him these very same pics I just shared above...I got a sponsored ticket last year and flew for almost 2 days just so that he'd see I was determined....that I ...that WE could pull it off.....and even though he SAW that we dont have the numbers of classics....He has STILL chosen to come!
So stay tuned for more details as to what we're looking for, what we want to achieve, how BEST we can represent our Beautiful country, its classics and its PEOPLE!

most definitely!
Please give Natalie a call on 489 2810 or email her ... bsfoxy@gmail.com
She will be taking bookings from Friday 10th March.
She will be making arrangements for bookings, details, giving a layout of the venue, giving costs, receiving payments and issuing tags/stickers that will allow those pre-registered and also those who've paid for tents to be able to enter Skinner Park smoothly and will as little fuss as possible.
That way you guys arent lining up for a long time waiting to reach the gate and THEN someone taking forever to process your car and entry.
Would like to know how to pre register exactly. Not a member of any of the groups but would like to bring Toyota 4x4 hilux 1984 . Thanks for any assistance

Could post a pic here, lets see what you got....if she's show-worthy then you can pick up your pass at our General Meeting at Grand Bazaar on Sunday March 12 opp Toppers at 5pm.
[iWe would like all our sponsors, fans, members, attendees and fellow promoters to know that Dennis Gage is coming for MORE than just our show.
He arrives in Trinidad on Thursday April 28th and begins a tour of BOTH Trinidad and Tobago the very next day...Friday....and continues right through Wednesday the 3rd when we return from a Tobago leg of his trip.
He spends Sunday at Skinner Park... meeting, interviewing owners and their cars, taking footage for his show and will be with us on stage while we giveaway the Super Minx at 5pm.
His itinerary sees him at various venues and national sites...from Maracas eating Shark & Bake, to a mini show at the Brian Lara Promenade to a St James cruise accompanied by a 50 Classic Car parade through POS...to San Juan, Tunapuna...Exodus pan Yard...where we are planning to serenade him with our national Instrument...the steel Pan, then to the The Dial of Arima.
He will also be doing a photo-shoot around the Queens park Savannah with several PRE 1960s Antiques perfectly positioned in front of the Magnificent 7.
We also will be taking him to Monos island, & Gasparee. The Pitch Lake, Manzanilla and be going to the Buccoo Reef and Arguille Waterfall....in Tobago on Monday and Tuesday.
Our objective is to show the DIRECT link and relationship between Classic and Antique Cars and our Nations history.....how so?
In that EVERY brick, bag of cement, sheet of plywood, every road, every building and house of this country was carried or transported and built by AN OLD CAR or BEDFORD TRUCK or Massey Furgesson tractor way back at the very BIRTH of our Nation.
We fully intend to highlight this country as not just another place where "ol cars' still exist...but that they are enshrined in our very culture.....and that can only be a benefit to our status as a untapped and venerable TOURIST destination!
We encourage our sponsors, members, fans and patrons that are following our show, to make good use of this once in a lifetime opportunity to come TOGETHER and show the WORLD what we got!
There will be several stops along our parade route on each day of his visit for those wishing to meet him and get an autograph or signed photo.
We will be looking to make contact with the 50 owners of the BEST antiques and classic cars that would like to be part of the Dennis Gage Parade on FRIDAY 28th & SATURDAY 29th April.][/i]
Reminder that there is a GENERAL MEETING THIS SUNDAY

Passes for show cars that are approved for entry to the show will be given out as well
Some points from yesterday's 1st Grand Auto Show meeting...
1) Members agreed to be early on show day, 2) That proper order, parking manners and behavior HAS to be better than at previous shows. 3) That we are first and foremost giving due preference to the Antiques and Classics...4x4s, Exotics, Sports Cars and some quality "newer model SHOW CARS". 4) Criteria for judging will be better outlined and adhered to by our NEW panel of White Coat Judges. Details at 2nd meeting. 5) No sport Bikes 6) Revving of race cars according to set times. 7) 50 Cars needed for the Parade around T&T on Friday and Saturday before the show. NO delivery panel vans allowed in or near stage, Antiques and Classics DURING the show. 9) That this show will be good for ALL of T&T and we want to show our very best. Date and venue of 2nd meeting to be announced soon.
Those are some nice 4x4s....I think they asked earlier this year or were there last year....and are most welcome.
There 4x4 section has accommodations for 50 vehicles...but we're asking that they be in place as early as possible as Dennis will be at the venue shooting for his show from 12pm sharp....and latecomers will not only MISS out on "tv time" but also interrupt his flow.
Thanks for the interest shown by our sister isle....we expect quite a few to come be a part of this historic event!

We would also like very much, if owners could make a little data-sheet and laminate it and place it on or near their cars...it would give our show a degree of pride, conformity and help the thousands watching and admiring our classics a bit of history on them.
Dennis Gage gets into Trinidad on April 27th...on his way to his hotel we will be taking him down the Eastern Main Road from the Dial in Arima...then to Curepe, San Juan, over Lady Young then to St James.
On Friday morning...we do the morning tv segments and live radio on Hott93...then to a photo-shoot in front the Magnificent 7 and the Knowles Building...police will block off two lanes for 20 Antiques from 1924 to 1960 to have photos taken with our nation's historical buildings as back-drops....WITH Dennis Gage.
We then go to Maracas at 3pm for Shark and Bake.
Then up to Grand Bazaar and Price Plaza for a photo-op and autograph session at 5 to 7pm
Saturday we take him Down the Islands...then to San Fernando at 5pm through High street and then for a pre-show visit to Skinner Park.
Sunday he arrives at the show at 12 SHARP and begins shooting for his famous series My Classic Car....he joins us on-stage for the giveaway of the Hillman Superminx.
Monday we go to Tobago...to Arguile Waterfall, Pigeon Point and then to Charlotville and Parlatuvier. We will be having a mini-show in Tobago as well.
he leaves our shores on Wednesday morning.
We would like to first let everyone know the great exposure T&T will be getting from this visit...as we tour the Islands, eat at Maracas, Doubles in Penal, swim at Store Bay, cruise around the country...THE CAMERAS will be ROLLING.
Dennis' show is seen by over 100 MILLION people wordwide...this is truly a once in a lifetime experience and opportunity for ALL of T&T.
We are asking for fifty (50) Antiques and Classics...Muscle cars, VWS, Minis, ANY and ALL classic cars OVER 30 yrs old to be PART of this PARADE and CRUISE around T&T.
This is another great opportunity for those whose cars may NOT be filmed (due to time constraints) at Skinner Park on Sunday.
The Cruise around T&T is on FRIDAY 28th and SATURDAY 29TH April.
We have already received 20 applications for the parade and cruise...
If you would like your car to be part of this history making event...please call Clifford Tardieu at 770 7791 or 382 4926.
Police presence and escort will be taking us to every location.
And it would be sweet if we had 100 classics with us...would look awesome on film!
Please note....Dennis usually ASKS to drive a few cars...on camera...so if you would like this ...please state such when you call Mr Tardieu.
Tents MUST be paid for IN ADVANCE in order to be reserved
For bookings and payment call Natalie on 489 2810 or Clifford on 382 4926 for PRICES and LOCATION
Must state year, make, model and license plate number for accurate ordering.
Just a few tips about Dennis' show and the way he shoots them:
If you look at almost ALL of the episodes of MY CLASSIC CAR...spanning over 20 years...you will see/realize/come to the understanding that Dennis very RARELY goes INTO a tent to interview anyone or their cars....he does so IN THE OPEN...usually ON THE GRASS..in the sunlight
So with this in mind, if you would love for YOUR car to be shown on his program, for the millions to see your beautiful classic that you so love and have taken many years to get it to this stage....it would be in your best interest...to make sure...that even though you feel more secure IN your tent....you might want to PUSH your car into the beautiful sunlight...even for 5 minutes so that Dennis can SEE your beautiful car AND COME TO YOU....and interview you and your car.
He also LOVES to ask owners to OPEN their bonnet....even take a look at the interior....may we humbly suggest...that you lovingly clean your engine bay..and your interior.....maybe even take the next few days to spiffen it up a bit...that way...you wont be embarrassed by a dirty engine, loose wires, tie-straps and faded paint and chrome....or seats with food stains on it.
And if you are a loyal fan of My Classic Car....you'd also know that Dennis LOVES to take some cars for a spin.
Can you imagine seeing him WITH you...driving YOUR car on his show?
