HI tuners getting a prob with my 2006 hilux vigo , I randomly get a check light mostly at high speeds but at low speeds as well once the check light come on i will switch off turn back on van back to normal and it will not happen again for that day
the engine was recently rebuilt by former owner
full service done all oils and filter
change Map sensor filter
Change air flow sensor
Change Turbo actuator

Same issue i need help

Typical issue i fix. Y did u change turbo actuator? Its the vnt that sticks and actuator cannot work. Replacing actuator without fixing vnt will not fix problem. At least your issue spunds like a common one if fix often. But get it scanned first. If it comes up as boost control solenoid, then remove turbocharger and i can service or repair it. I also stock complete turbos for $5500. Willing to assist. 7964270. Shaun

Im using stoptech drilled and slotted rotors for about 6 years now, never had any problems with the rotor. When going maracas I used to get alot of brake fad with the OEM rotor with the stoptech never had brake fade. The hilux stops on a dime, the only disadvantage is the rotor eats brake pads lol which i dont mind. Also no brake dust on wheel.

OEM brake pads with the stoptech rotors?

My van definitely does not stop on a dime... Screeching tyres and ABS... Definitely not out braking any car (unless it doesn't have ABS)

Bought it from a power seller on tuner. I cant remember his name off hand but he only used to sell toyota parts, im not sure if he still exists, paid $2500 for the pair

Called them today, they don't carry aftermarket anymore. They only got the oem. U have the specs of it so i can order it online? The stoptech that is cuz i'm seeing 2 diff diameter sizes

It's the same dimensions of the OEM rotor, don't have the part number but if you measure the OEM rotor you would knw which one to choose.

Be sure to check the shipping weight on those rotors. Price might be steep esp if ur using a skybox.

Gents I'm looking for someone to repair my tailgate lock. Its stuck in the locked position and I can't get access to the tray. Not sure if its an electrical or mechanical problem

should be able to remove the panel on the inner side, just some screws
if you have a tray liner a couple screws will be holding that to the metal panel and them some more holding the metal panel to the tailgate body.

I had to open mine the other day due to dead lock actuator.

Anybody does get stuck dipstick in a 2KD? I was able to get the dipstick out, but it doesn't goes back in all the way.

It will only work 2 ways... Either "engine oil" reads from the right of the vehicle to the left or vice versa

I had call a time, front ARB bumper was around 16K and back was 7K.

End up taking out the O Ring from the dipstick handle, as it was swell and causing the dipstick to stick or not going in all the way...

Oh that is new... Never had the o ring swell to that degree and that is after 170000kms.

How about using an actuator that works with your power locks.
About $150 to install.

that is how the pace edwards folks do it,
they have a bracket welded up which uses the handle holes to hold the bracket which holds the actuator which
moves a lever to block the handle from opening when remote is in locked state

guys just to spread the word around. Yesterday i used the Liqui Moly fuel additive and the oil additive. Hearing the engine a bit quieter and the performance ALOT better.

My van used to pull off lazy lazy and you had to really press on the pedal to accelerate, since i put the furl treatment, the van actually feels lighter, moves easier and i dont have to press hard on the pedal anymore to accelerate. You can actually feel the difference. Im my opinion the product has worked on my VIGO and i recommend it.......

Who still use the Liqui Molly fuel additive? Is there any better in the market?

What benifits you guys get from the oil additive?
In addtion to less noise.

I was told to use the fuel additive made for common rail engine. Not sure if its true.Can anyone confirm?

People I need some assistance. I believe my factory deck is giving trouble... Has anyone upgraded the sound system setup in their lux... Nothing to big... Just looking at speaker and head unit replacement. Can anyone advise me on necessary adapters, etc.
