I have never heard reports of the local guys' works failing in the same manner/timeframe as the factory installation. They use different glues. Go with the local guys if your headliner drops as opposed to paying more for the OEM part that will fail again.

I didn't think of it that way...will get references and see if they are the better option. See why people stalk you on these forums....

I always questioning myself this and I need a definite answer from you all.
The last tyre service(align and balance ) was one May and its 32829km.
When should I schedule the next service?

And how to check if I need to go before the time? The service guy told me it was pulling to the left. I didn't even notice it. Maybe there is a better indication? Thanks in advance.

Oh yea, I drive through some bad roads on a daily basis even though 75 percent is smooth and highway roads.

Did you ever lightly hold the steering wheel and feel it pulling to the left?

I did on a flat straight road but nothing really happened like pulling.

Just wanna confirm something...
I can't recall but is the front passenger door supposed to close like the driver door? The driver one, you don't slam it ..you close it half way and it closes. If it is , I am thinking to check the seals.

If no apparent obvious problems, misfires etc, then u have to get it scanned. Makes no sense speculating

That too. Hopefully it’s just an ignition coil.

Do a compression test pal. Get confirmation that all cylinders are healthy one time.

Guys,

Someone in work is selling their 2012 Jetta and they said the following lights are on "ABS, Steering Angle and Stability dash indicators"

Your thoughts on the cost to fix/replace those possible sensors or issues?

Did they change the battery recently?

Sometimes you have to do a steering angle sensor reset

Turn the steering wheel fully left, then fully right, and drive for a short distance at 15-20 km/h.

This had happened to me and the above didn't work. Took it to the dealer and they thought the steering rack was bad... so they replaced it and the fault still didn't go away. They put the old rack back in and contacted VW Germany. On their recommendation, the car's software was updated... and everything was back to normal.

I've seen people had their software updated. Anyone can shed light on what is updated or possible benefits? I've heard of updates to correct misfires

So update on the dreaded EPC light, vehicle failed the compression test and engine has to be rebuilt....... AGAIN.

This would be the second time in 2 years, applying for goodwill again. Hopefully my immaculate service record will come through for me.

5 years of ownership
2 engine rebuilds
1 mechatronic failure
2 door lock actuator replacements
1 hood liner replacement

At this stage I not even vex, car just unreliable.

I’m surprised at two engine rebuilds. Same cylinder as the last time ?

Sorry to hear that. Great car to drive. Too much down time with unplanned maintenance.

So.......BRZ???
