Interested to know what gas everyone uses. I'd assume kompressor needs premium. Anyone runs the m112 V6 on super?

Correct. There are times when I've used super and found it sluggish. Premium and the kompressor purrs like a tiger.

Anybody used Bosch rotors or disc pads?

I recently changed out my rear rotors and replaced them with Bosch. They squeal loudly when they're cold.

I have original benz...I think it's due for a change...my key fob stopped locking/unlocking the doors recently...I'm reading a weak Battery could be the culprit....the red light on the key blinks when pressed and I did the infrared test using my phones camera as well as changed the batteries....still doesn't work.

The key also starts the car just fine.

Any ideas?

Since I inherited the 2002 C200 I've had no major issues with it but I have done a lot of preventative maintenance .... I've highlighted some of the significant work done below. I've excluded the routine oil, oil fiter, air filter, injector cleaning service etc.

Prior to receiving the car, the following was done based on the service records/history.

2014 Coolant Expansion Tank, Rear Disc pads, fog lamps, turn signal/wiper switch.

2015 Transmission control unit, Radiator - 124000km

I brought home the car in Nov 2015 after my old man passed away ....

In 2016 I did the entire ac (evaporator, compressor, expansion valve, dryer, cabin filter), front disc pads and rotors, mass air flow sensor, inner and outer rack ends, tyres.

In 2017 I did the transmission seals, strainer, pilot bushing, oil, spark plugs, vacuum pump, vacuum line, tensioner pulley, power steering pump, low control arms

In Jan 2018 I did the rear calipers, rotors and disc pads, bonnet shocks.

My next service will entail changing out the radiator hoses, thermostat and coolant.

Is there anything else that should be done service wise?

... So my SRS check light came on for a moment and then went off ...

Gonna get it scanned. Hoping it a low voltage / weak battery issues and nothing more.

Any advice on what can cause this issue, is a w203 c200. Was driving normal then all of a sudden it not starting, changed battery to the oem recommended benz battery, however it still not starting just completed dead. Car is not tumbling nor the shifter engaging into any gear.

Not sure. Could be many things including a fuse. Get a Euro mechanic to diagnose properly. If you need one let me know.

Reviving an old thread ....

My CD unit recently went. Ordered an exact used replacement in the UK for £50.
