what if you change the orientation 180 degrees, putting both amps so the wiring in the middle and put some sort of removable finisher on the top that could hide the wires going into the amp
you would end up using a little less power wire for both amps as well allowing a sorta seamless look from the top

Sketched that before and then I realized how many wires would be bunched up right there in the middle and power wires crossing rcas etc...altho it would look aesthetically more pleasing and save on wires it may introduce signal feedback that I really don't want

Yea I know how to route wires...have all those things u talking about...I tried all that already bro
..the middle part for the spare wheel clamp is making it hard to do that

Really like the edits u made with the box ...thinking to make another cuz when u sent this I already finished it and carpetedBrian Steele wrote:SR wrote:Round off the edges of the board exposed in the port itself to match the flow created by the 45degree inserts in the port
It's a resonant system - air won't (or shouldn't) be flowing through the vent, but vibrating inside of it. As such the 45 degree chamfers in the vent are not required and actually act to raise the resonance frequency slightly because they reduce the mass of air in the vent.
However, having said that, the entrance and exit to the vent (particularly the latter) represent "discontinuities" and should be treated a bit (e.g. rounded off) to reduce possible turbulence. Even better would be to flare them as indicated in the attached image. The wider and deeper the flare the better. Hornresp can be used to model the resulting Fb when using a flared vent like that.
