Why did you use the soundstream as your choice for mids? Is it that good or it gives a complete sound or budget constraints?

Running the 4 soundstream coax on that single Amp

Bridging 1&2 - left side front and back 6"
Bridging 3&4 - right side front and back 6"
Channel 5 - both left side drivers
Channel 6 - both right side drivers

Each 6" will get 100rms and each driver will be getting around 35rms...driver and 6" has their own independent + and - terminals at the back of the coax...not just 1 positive and 1 negative like regular speakers

Was initially thinking to go with JL audio c5 comps and coax but these soundstream sounds really good for if u just looking for something that gets loud enough and sounds really clear for every day use...without getting too fatigued. The compression drivers on these sound so lively it's hard to explain...they came with passives but I gave them away

Very nice.

When I built enclosures and cabinets, I used yellow wood glue, clamps and an air nailer instead of screws.

what if you change the orientation 180 degrees, putting both amps so the wiring in the middle and put some sort of removable finisher on the top that could hide the wires going into the amp
you would end up using a little less power wire for both amps as well allowing a sorta seamless look from the top

Sketched that before and then I realized how many wires would be bunched up right there in the middle and power wires crossing rcas etc...altho it would look aesthetically more pleasing and save on wires it may introduce signal feedback that I really don't want

u could use cable tie anchors with nylon tie straps and route wires on the underside of the pvc sheet

something like that came to mind when I saw the outlay

Yea I know how to route wires...have all those things u talking about...I tried all that already bro
..the middle part for the spare wheel clamp is making it hard to do that

In my experience, most speaker cables didn't require isolation or shielding but the inputs did.

I can imagine that your audio and power cables are running from seperate sides of the car. You might be making the best choice by keeping the wire bundles smaller and easier to conceal.

I'll get in touch with you about the pvc sheets later. Thanks.

OK I'd like to apologize to @X_Factor for coming across harsh in any way with this message..I took ur idea into consideration and may have found a way to get it to work...so thanks...

Here's the pics

^^^180'd the amps for all connections to be to the center...Old markings of where I was previously gonna drill the holes still on the PVC in the above pictho

^^^New layout with the center clamp for the wheel well....have enough clearance on both sides altho the fit is a bit tight

Just finished the Amp rack... took like 5 hours to carpet the rack, drill the holes for the grommets, and route the power and rcas

Made some adjustments to the port of the box from this pic above being how it originally was

Below pics shows the process of the changes made

Image

Knocked off the port piece that was going upwards to the back of the sub as shown before

Image

Folded the port 180 degrees and sketched where I wanted to place some 45s to help improve airflow

Image

Making the 45s

Image

Image

Image

45s added at the 4 corners sketched before

Reason for adjusting port placement is that I felt the port placement before was too close to the back of the sub so wasn’t sure if it would’ve affected air flow and compression...maybe it might not have been an issue but just wanted to make sure

Round off the edges of the board exposed in the port itself to match the flow created by the 45degree inserts in the port

It's a resonant system - air won't (or shouldn't) be flowing through the vent, but vibrating inside of it. As such the 45 degree chamfers in the vent are not required and actually act to raise the resonance frequency slightly because they reduce the mass of air in the vent.

However, having said that, the entrance and exit to the vent (particularly the latter) represent "discontinuities" and should be treated a bit (e.g. rounded off) to reduce possible turbulence. Even better would be to flare them as indicated in the attached image. The wider and deeper the flare the better. Hornresp can be used to model the resulting Fb when using a flared vent like that.

Taking forever to finish this cuz of lack of time but here's where I reached..ran wires to the well...

Need to scrap back out doors to figure out which speaker wire is for which speaker tho ...that's what have me in procrastinating mode atm...sighz

Tested out the sub in a bredren's vehicle just to hear the tone...playing real nice and full on small power from his 4 channel amp...looking forward to hear it on mine...

Still need to install door speakers...tag the speaker wires ...install the ferrules on them...and do the other false floor above the amp rack to fit the spare tyre...
