LPG gas tanks

Postby bess almera » September 20th, 2018, 9:53 pm

Seems like I have problems with every tank of gas I purchase. For some strange reason no gas comes through whenever I secure the head to the tank.
Is there a special type of attachment to eliminate this problem?

Your head likely is a bit narrower than the rubber gasket on the lip of the tank so the head doesn't go down enough for the pin to press the valve.
Try pushing it down very firmly before pushing down the locking part.
A little Vaseline on the rubber may also help to slide the head over it properly
Take advice this advice at your own risk

Buy a new head bro

And change the hose clamps while you there.

Change hose one time. Ideally they should be changed annually. No one ever does however. I say some new cylinder heads come with a pressure gauge on top. So no more guessing when the tank finish
