So the Niro only has 3 years warranty on the battery and its more expensive than the ioniq

Also in the US market both cars are the same price ... SS at it again.

Far from the same price though. Interior in the Niro is.. underwhelming.

Dropped the car off this morning to update BMS and for the Hydraulic Clutch Actuator check/change. I'd let you know how things go during the day.

2017 Ioniq, AC just stopped cooling.
Has anyone else experienced issues with their AC ? Is the AC covered under the warranty ?

I experienced this with my 2016 Tucson. Could be a Hyundai problem. I know of a few other ppl with the 2016 Tucosn where the AC stopped cooling as well.

Was a part called the thermostop that was defective and it is a warranty item.

Not sure if it was posted before (didnt see it in the thread).
The refreshed 2020 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid.
Not a fan of the new front and rear end styling - a bit too angular and over the top for my taste. Prefer the current model front end.

But that new interior is WOW!!!

Any reputable custom shop should be able to do this. The ONLY thing I'm seeing being an issue is the disassembly. I wanted to change my park lights to LEDs without having to take the entire light off. But I guess that's not possible.

The space seems very tight to be able to take it off easily.

You have any recommendations for custom shops?

Try Street Concepts in Arima. Sean is the only person I'd trust to do something like this. But that's just my experience through seeing him work.

No issues. And I'm in a small ioniq whatsapp group and no issues there either.

Just got mine and I am very impressed with it. I do over 100kms a day easy so it's saving me a lot of gas.

Anyone ask massy about the service interval?
I find the 5000km is very short. I'm seeing in the manual 10,000km and 15,000km as applicable to our environment. Based on the requirements I can easily fall into either as I don't face traffic or any of the conditions that would require a 5k service.

A lot of the owners I know don't go at 5000km. I'm currently way over that with NO difference in performance.

My aunt had to pay to get her's done.

What refrigerant they use? r134a or r600?

@ nervewrecker , there was a leak from the evaporator due to improper bond. The repair was covered under the warranty, i didn't notice if the service order receipt had the type of refrigerant used. I'll double check to see if it was listed.
