^He damn right to call them out, the umpiring was atrocious.

But to go further and say the officials caved under pressure from the Aussies (whether or not that is true) is conjecture on his part and casts aspersions on the professionalism of the umpires, so I can see where the ICC is coming from...:|

Massa day done. Fack the ICC, and kudos to Holding. It's not as if good umpiring was being questioned and ridiculed
Too many times, we ignore the foolishness of umpires, and target the messenger.

Take nothing away from England though...few blemishes in the field and their bowlers have the W.I. peg back good...:|

Windies need to take a few pages from India wrt to batting...50 over cricket is far different from t20...

Back to the game, should be easier to bat second as the conditions have changed

WI bought this upon themselves. They need a proper batsman. One who doesn't want to hit everything for boundaries.
Apart from Hope, Bravo is the only other such batsman but he out of touch. Lewis ain't really looking all that right now either though.

To not bat out 50 overs is murder man.

Well this loss just screwed up the nice NRR WI has after the Pakistan thumping.

As comprehensive a loss as they come

A good read and batting first showed the lack of being able to sustain ones wickets

Seems like Russell knees finally say no mas

Russell's replacement will be interesting...

Windies batsmen need more exposure to spin bowling....

As much as I would like to windies in the final 4, I think it would be India, Aus, Eng & NZ..judging from the games thus far

The solution is actually simple
Put gayle and the other t20 swipers lower down the order
Like 6-8 and let them slog out the last 25 overs

Asking them to bat early and concentrate for 20-30 overs of a 50 over match ain't happening after several years of not doing that
