Meanwhile ALL 8 survivors of the El Paso shooting refused to meet with Orange Ade. No wonder the media weren't allowed in the hospital. Then this moron uses a sombre setting like this, to talk about crowd size the last time he was there!

'You don't talk to the United States that way under me!' Donald Trump accuses Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen of being 'nasty' for calling his plan to buy Greenland 'absurd' after he canceled state visit in fury at territory not being for sale

Donald Trump on Wednesday accused Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen of being 'nasty' when she said his plan to buy Greenland was 'absurd.'

The president told reporters on the South lawn her statement on the matter 'was nasty' during a 35-minute, free wheeling exchange that included his thoughts on gun background checks, Israel, the New York Times, China and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

His remarks came after Frederiksen said earlier Wednesday she was 'surprised' at Trump's decision to cancel his two-day visit. But her initial reaction on Monday - after the president publicly confirmed his interest in buying Greenland - was to call it 'absurd.'

Frederiksen was in Greenland on Monday to visit her counter part there when she said any talk of a sale was 'an absurd discussion.'

Trump showed his anger at her use of the word.

'I thought that the prime minister's statement that it was absurd - that it was an absurd idea - was nasty. I thought it was an inappropriate statement. All she had to do is say no, we wouldn't be interested,' he said.

He repeatedly went back to her word 'absurd' when asked about American-Danish relations after officials refused to consider his offer to buy the world's largest island - and complained Frederiksen could not treat the U.S. that way.

'She shouldn't treat the United States that way. She said absurd. That's not the right word to use. Absurd,' he said of Frederiksen's reaction to but Greenland, which is an autonomous Danish territory.

'I thought it was an inappropriate statement. All she had to do is say no, we wouldn't be interested,' he added.

'I thought it was a very not nice way of saying something. They could have told me no,' he said. 'All they had to do is say, no, we would rather not do that or we would rather not talk about it. Don't say what an absurd idea that is.'

He accused her of insulting the United States with her response.

'She's not talking to me,' he said of Frederiksen. 'She's talking to the United States of America. You don't talk to the United States that way. At least under me.'

'I thought it was not a nice statement - the way she blew me off,' he added later. 'We've done a lot for Denmark.'

Trump also said he was not looking at purchasing land from other countries.

'No,' he said in response to a question from Dailymail.com. 'Greenland was just an idea. Just a thought. But I think when they say it was absurd and it was said in a very nasty, very sarcastic way, I said we'll make it some other time.'

'I love Denmark. I've been to Denmark and, frankly, we'll do it another time,' he added. 'Respect has to be shown to the United States.'

He also noted he was not the first president to bring up the idea of buying Greenland.

'The prime minister used a terrible word when talking about something we've been talking about for years,' he said.

'This is something that has been discussed for many years. Harry Truman had the idea of Greenland. I had the idea. Other people have had the idea. It goes back into the early 1900s. But Harry Truman very strongly thought it was a good idea. I think it is a good idea because Denmark is losing $700 million a year with it. It doesn't do them any good,' he noted.

Additionally, Republican Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, a close Trump ally on Capitol Hill, also is interested in purchasing Greenland.

Cotton raised the idea in August 2018 when Danish Ambassador Lone Dencker Wisborg dropped by his Senate office, The Atlantic reported. Cotton also discussed the idea with Trump - although no time frame was given for when that conversation took place.

After his angry rant at Frederiksen, Trump then took to Twitter to complain Denmark is not paying enough in its NATO fees.

'For the record, Denmark is only at 1.35% of GDP for NATO spending. They are a wealthy country and should be at 2%. We protect Europe and yet, only 8 of the 28 NATO countries are at the 2% mark. The United States is at a much, much higher level than that,' he wrote.

'Because of me, these countries have agreed to pay ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS more - but still way short of what they should pay for the incredible military protection provided. Sorry!,' he added.

Denmark agreed to raise its NATO contribution to 1.5 percent of its gross domestic product in 2023, up from 1.35 percent it will pay this year, Danish officials said in January.

Trump's cancelation comes as Barack Obama has made his own plans to visit Denmark.

The former president will be at the Musikkens Hus (Music House) in the northern city Aalborg on September 28 for 'A Conversation with President Barack Obama.' The invitation-only event will be for business leaders but will also include around two hundred students from Aalborg University, Ritzau, a Danish news site.

The president has been vocal about his interest in obtaining Greenland but Frederiksen slammed his scouting efforts as 'absurd', saying the semi-autonomous island is not for sale.

The Danish prime minister also said she was 'disappointed and surprised' by Trump's decision to cancel his upcoming state visit.

Snubbed in his purchase offer, Trump, a former real estate tycoon, decided to postpone his meeting with Frederiksen, which was scheduled to take place in two weeks, in a dramatic last-minute decision announced on Twitter Tuesday night.

Queen Margrethe II and the royal household on Wednesday expressed surprise at the sudden cancellation, while other prominent Danish politicians described it as 'deeply insulting'.

Trump's visit was originally seen as a thank you to the small northern European nation, which is a member of NATO and has supported the U.S. military missions in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.

The country has seen 43 Danish troops members killed in those U.S.-led missions, which is a large number for a country of 5.5 million not used to participating in battle.

His cancellation has now sparked worries of a diplomatic row but Frederiksen argued it would not harm relations between Copenhagen and Washington.

Frederiksen, who took office two months ago as Denmark's second female head of state and the leader of the left-leaning Social Democratic Party, said relations between Copenhagen and Washington 'are not in any crisis in my opinion' after Trump canceled his plans to visit Denmark following her rejection of the sale.

'I don't believe that the cancellation should have any influence on other matters,' she said.

She also confirmed Wednesday that 'a discussion about a potential sale of Greenland has been put forward.'

But she noted: 'It has been rejected by Greenland Premier Kim Kielsen, and I fully stand behind that rejection'.

The prime minister said she was 'disappointed and surprised' by Trump's decision to cancel his two-day stop in her country.

But she told reporters that 'the invitation for a stronger strategic cooperation with the Americans in the Arctic is still open'.

Former Danish government ministers were quick to speak out, with ex-foreign minister and head of the foreign affairs committee in parliament, Martin Lidegaard, telling Trump to 'please stop'.

He added to Danish broadcaster TV2 that it was 'a diplomatic farce' and added that Trump's behavior was 'grotesque' and he was 'throwing a hissy fit'.

Helle Thorning-Schmidt, a former Danish Prime Minister, wrote on Twitter that Trump's cancellation was 'deeply insulting to the people of Greenland and Denmark'.

While another ex-finance minister, Kristian Jensen, went further describing it as 'total chaos' and adding: 'This has gone from a great opportunity for a strengthened dialogue between allies to a diplomatic crisis.'

Lene Balleby, head of communications for the Danish royal family, said: 'It [the cancellation] was a surprise - we have nothing more to say about this case.'

Frederiksen noted that preparations for the September 2 and 3 visit were 'well underway'.

'It is with regret and surprise that I received the news that President Trump has cancelled his state visit to Denmark on the second and third of September,' she said.

'I had been looking forward to the visit, our preparations were well underway. It was an opportunity, I think, to celebrate Denmark's close relationship to the US - who remains one of Denmark's closest allies.

'I was looking forward to having a dialogue on the many shared interests we have with the US.

'Furthermore the development in the Arctic region called for further co-operation between the US, Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Denmark. And therefore I would like to underline our invitation for a stronger co-operation on Arctic affairs still stands.

Trump was prepared to take over Denmark's annual $600 million subsidy to Greenland in perpetuity before he canceled his visit.

The president also had discussed giving Denmark a large one-time payment as well to help move the transaction along, senior administration officials told The Washington Post.

Greenland handles its own domestic affairs but Denmark covers its national security and foreign relations. The Danes also pay for 50 percent of the island's budget in direct subsidies with additional spending on defense.

In total, Denmark spends about $740 million annually on Greenland.

Frederiksen pointed out Greenland officials rejected the idea - a move she supported.

'A discussion however has been raised about a potential sale of Greenland. This has clearly been rejected by Kim Kielsen, a position that I share of course,' she said.

'This does not change the character of our good relations and we will, of course, from Denmark continue an ongoing dialogue with the US on how we can develop our co-operation and deal with the many common challenges we are facing.'

Trump was invited by Denmark's Queen Margrethe II for a state visit in Copenhagen in early September, which would have followed a stop in Warsaw, Poland, where the president will take part in a series of ceremonies in honor of the 80th anniversary of the start of World War II.

First lady Melania Trump was to have accompanied him and dinner with the Queen was on the agenda.

The president initially claimed the visit wouldn't be about a Greenland purchase, his sudden cancellation has cast doubts on the intentions of his trip.

A senior official told DailyMail.com last week that Trump was visiting Denmark because he was invited and not to purchase Greenland.

The senior official said that reports on Trump's interest in buying the property were being 'overblown,' and the president was not entirely serious pursuing the sale.

However, Trump's tweets challenged that.

'Denmark is a very special country with incredible people, but based on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen's comments, that she would have no interest in discussing the purchase of Greenland, I will be postponing our meeting scheduled in two weeks for another time....' the president wrote on Twitter Tuesday night.

'The Prime Minister was able to save a great deal of expense and effort for both the United States and Denmark by being so direct. I thank her for that and look forward to rescheduling sometime in the future!' he added, digging at Frederiksen for spurning his interest in buying the island.

During the state visit he would have met with Prime Minister Frederiksen as well as Greenland's Prime Minister Kim Kielsen, and other Danish leaders.

He was due to discuss the Arctic in meetings in Copenhagen with Frederiksen, who took office in June.

His cancellation came just three hours after the US ambassador to Denmark tweeted: 'Denmark is ready for the POTUS @realDonaldTrump visit! Partner, ally, friend' sharing a picture of a billboard emblazoned with Trump's name.
Timeline of Trump and Greenland

August 15: Reports surface that Trump is considering buying Greenland

August 16: Greenland's government tweets 'We are open for business, but we're not for sale'

August 18: Frederiksen says 'Greenland is not for sale' and calls the purchase talks 'absurd'

August 20: Trump cancels Denmark visit and talks with Frederiksen because she refused to talk about potential Greenland purchase

Trump started to express his interest in purchasing the island earlier this month, which he said would be a strategic move for its natural resources and because the U.S. military has operated for decades out of the Thule Air Base in Greenland, located between the Atlantic and Arctic oceans.

The northern-most U.S. base is part of the military's global network of radars and other sensors to provide ballistic missile warning and space surveillance.

'Strategically it's interesting and we'd be interested, but we'll talk to them a little bit. It's not number one on the burner, I can tell you that,' Trump previously said.

Trump said Denmark loses almost $700 million a year on Greenland, which boasts a population of just 56,000.

But Frederiksen dismissed Trump's real estate interests in the territory as 'absurd' on Sunday, reiterating that 'Greenland is NOT for sale'.

'Greenland is not for sale and U.S. President Donald Trump's idea of buying the semi-autonomous Danish territory in the Arctic from Denmark is an absurd discussion,' Denmark's prime minister said.

'Greenland is not Danish. Greenland is Greenlandic. I persistently hope that this is not something that is seriously meant,' she added.

'I am the Chosen One': with boasts and insults, Trump sets new benchmark for incoherence

President outdoes himself in new press conference as he attacks the Danish prime minister, Jewish Democrats and the press

Donald Trump started off precisely on-message.

Strolling to the end of a White House driveway on Wednesday ahead of his departure for a veterans event in Kentucky, the president began speaking while still walking toward a crowd of waiting reporters. “So the economy is doing very, very well,” he said.

With fears of a recession stirring and public confidence in the health of the economy dropping for the first time in Trump’s presidency, it was a sound message to project to a skittish nation. But that was as good as it got.

What followed might have swept away all previous Trumpian benchmarks for incoherence, self-aggrandizement, prevarication and rancor in a presidency that has seemed before to veer loosely along the rails of reason but may never have come quite so close to spectacularly jumping the tracks.

Over an ensuing half-hour rant, Trump trucked in antisemitic tropes, insulted the Danish prime minister, insisted he wasn’t racist, bragged about the performance of his former Apprentice reality show, denied starting a trade war with China, praised Vladimir Putin and told reporters that he, Trump, was the “chosen one” – all within hours of referring to himself as the “King of Israel” and tweeting in all caps: “WHERE IS THE FEDERAL RESERVE?”

Leaving aside those who were left merely gape-jawed, the performance inspired reactions from new expressions of doubt about Trump’s fitness for office to evocations of “the last president I know of who compared himself to the Messiah”.

(That turns out, according to Brookings Institution fellow Benjamin Wittes, to be Andrew Johnson (1865-9), whose articles of impeachment cited his “intemperate, inflammatory and scandalous harangues”.)

After the news conference, the hashtag #25thAmendmentNow was the top trending item on US Twitter, referring to a constitutional proviso by which cabinet members and the vice-president can band together to remove a president deemed unfit.

Soon after the ill-fated driveway news conference got under way, Trump faced a question about his decision to cancel a meeting with Danish prime minister Mette Frederiksen, who had rejected a proposal floated by the Trump administration to purchase Greenland as “absurd”.

Calling Frederiksen “nasty” – his preferred insult for women in politics – Trump described his wounded pride at the way his offer had been rejected.

“I thought it was a very not nice way of saying something,” Trump said. “Don’t say ‘What an absurd idea that is’… You don’t talk to the United States that way, at least under me.

“I thought it was not a nice statement, the way she blew me off.”

As Trump continued his attack on Denmark on Twitter from aboard his airplane, the world below struggled with the rest of the wild, wild things he had just said, including an attack on another group: Jews who vote for Democrats.
Trump stands by antisemitic trope that sparked anger among Jewish Americans
Read more

In response to a news conference Monday by Democratic Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib criticizing their exclusion from Israel, Trump had questioned the “loyalty” of Jews who support Democratic politicians. Accusations of “dual loyalty” have been used in the past in an attempt to undermine and marginalize Jews living outside Israel.

Asked about the “loyalty” charge Wednesday, Trump said: “I have been responsible for a lot of great things for Israel,” mentioning the relocation of the US embassy to Jerusalem and his opposition to Iran.

“I will tell you this, in my opinion, the Democrats have gone very far away from Israel,” Trump continued. “In my opinion, if you vote for a Democrat you’re being very disloyal to Jewish people, and you’re being very disloyal to Israel. And only weak people would say anything other than that.”

Trump ignored a shouted question about whether Jews in the United States have a right to be simply American – but Trump denied he was employing an antisemitic trope.

“I haven’t heard anybody say that, just the opposite.” Trump said.

Trump then embarked on an increasingly breakneck tour through the hills and valleys of a personal political landscape whose map, if it existed, was private to him, although his route was provisionally signposted by questions shouted by the media.

“We wiped out the Caliphate, 100%, I did it in record time,” he said of the fight against Isis.

“I am the least racist person ever to serve in office, OK? I am the least racist person,” he opined.

And, of course, his journey included a visit to his old favorite stomping ground: reality TV.

“I made a lot of money for NBC with the Apprentice, and I used to like them, but they are so biased,” he said. “You are so obviously biased and that’s why the public doesn’t believe you.”

His dislike for the media was on familiar display.

“The fake news, of which many of you are members, are trying to convince the public to have a recession,” he said. “‘Let’s have a recession!’”

But then – as he discussed his trade war with China – came a new twist as Trump bestowed himself with a new title certain to launch a million Twitter memes.

“This is a trade war that should have taken place years ago… somebody had to do it. I am the Chosen One.”

That last line echoed a tweet the president had sent earlier in the day, in which Trump quoted the conspiracist Wayne Allyn Root, who in the past has said that violence including the murder of a peace activist at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, was “probably paid actors & infiltrators hired by Soros”.

“The Jewish people in Israel love him,” Trump quoted Root as saying on Wednesday, “like he’s the King of Israel. They love him like he is the second coming of God.”

His putative status as the reincarnated Christian savior was not among the many topics Trump touched on Wednesday. At the end of the news conference, Trump walked toward his helicopter and headed for Kentucky.

All of this is old news, we know Trump is a buffoon.

However the democrats are basically a mouth piece for LGBTQ propaganda these days, these idiots are so far out of touch with reality that it is insane. You would think Trump would be the one living in Lala Land considering he is richer than all of them.

Funny enough most of these rich pedophiles are mainly people on the left.

Trump isn't too far tho, he was friends with Epstein and he did want to fck Ivanka when she was like 17 or some sh!t like that.
But most of the rich pedophiles are left wingers

BTW this video aged like fine wine, PJW must have a time machine.

The only sane person in that entire list of democrat candidates is Tulsi Gabbard but she won't last long, Google and the other rich powerful elites will make sure of that. We can't have a woman stopping all the middle eastern wars and stuff now can we, the American war machine can't have that. Notice how CNN the Clown News Network and MSNBC More Sh!t Nothing But Crap always trying to smear Tulsi as some sort of secret agent of president Assad even tho Tulsi is a Soldier in the US Army mind you.

These sh!t stain liberal "journalists" who came from rich gated communities and got their daddy to bribe the top universities to take them in have the nerve to sit there and smear a progressive likeTulsi as a puppet of President Assad

what democrats fail to realize, the good democrate candidate is not the same as one that will pull conservative votes. but not only conservative votes, but blue collar votes. they are highly anti establishment. they will not give support to biden, hillary, warren.
booker and kamala.. hell no! they be black.
andrew yang? he is too ahead of the curve for them to understand what he is saying. he is trying to prepare the economy for 10 years ahead. nobody can appreciate that.

tulsi is good, but the blue collar voters are pro war, and she is strongly anti war. she will not get their vote.

This isn't real right? This is the world we live in. Trump has suggested nuking hurricanes. As in dropping nuclear bombs inside a hurricane to destroy them.

Most important part of the article that people seem to miss

"Mr Trump has denied making the suggestion"

This is more fake news that the media loves to push so their rubbish news can sell, first was the fake Russia gate hoax now this.

Also if Trump really did make that suggestion which clearly he didn't, if he did was either a joke or he wanted to find out about a theory of nuking a hurricane which is actually something scientists have explored out of curiosity aswell but found out it would more likely cause the hurricane to get a boost in performance than it would to nuke it.

Elon Musk also said he wants to Nuke mars to melt the snow and jump start the planet back to life, does he mean it literally? no he doesn't, it is a theory that appears to be interesting and have people wondering what the outcome would be, but the media is just that retarded cause they know the current outrage culture kids would eat it up.

Watched a few clips of Tulsi Gabbard in action, the one where she called out Kamala Harris for using drug offenders as slave labour while joking about using drugs herself was priceless.

Pity she's a little too 'conservative' to be considered for the job. The DNC and left wing media have all but ensured she doesn't stand a chance à la Bernie Sanders 2016...:|

And that is why these stink fcks on the left deserve to lose. They finally get an honest person who is simply too pure to even be a politician and what do they all do? they smear her lie about her make up nonsensical stories about her being a secret Russian Spy who works for Assad of Syria mind you Tulsi serves in the US Military.

The dip sh!t CNN anchor had to apologize on air to Tulsi for that nonsense Russia crap she was pushing saying Tulsi is a puppet of Assad all because Tulsi was calling for an end to wars in the middle east.

Even worse the left hates her for wanting to end wars because apparently the agenda of the left these days is LGBTQ how have we shifted from reality these days.

They will get back Trump in 2020 because the left deserves Trump.

I wonder if Shogun will ever talk about the rigging that the DNC is constantly doing?

In 2016 the DNC cheated Bernie out of the race and now in 2020 the DNC is cheating Tulsi out of the race.

What does the DNC and Shogun have against progressives?

Why would they try to cheat Tulsi out of this race? what is so wrong about wanting to end the pointless nasty wars in the middle east? why won't the wicked left stand up for Tulsi and Bernie?

How much of a clown this man is? :| He really have to be mentally ill. In later years historians will tell us.

This all began on Sunday when the president tweeted a warning about Hurricane Dorian and said that in addition to Florida, “South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama will most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated by the storm.” Apparently, he was wrong about Alabama, and the Birmingham National Weather Service quickly corrected him.

It all could have ended there, but of course it didn’t.

On Wednesday, weather reporters and other experts noticed that it looked like someone had drawn an extra little bubble onto a map of the path of a storm in a video of Trump talking about it. People started to wonder whether Trump or someone else had used a Sharpie pen — which the president is known to use — to doctor the map so it looked like he had been right. #SharpieGate was born.

NOAA defends Trump statement on Alabama being affected by Dorian

Important question: was Trump officially briefed on the updated forecast when he made the statement?

Matters not, his dumb statement was made 3-4 DAYS after the track was amended to show no possible effect on Alabama. Which is worse, a man who uses days old info at a time of crisis, where thousands if not millions of lives are potentially affected, or a man who not only doubles, but triples down on the outdated, and wrong info? That "correction" btw was coerced out of the NOAA by Commerce Sec. Wilbur Ross, and was debunked (again!) by the head of the NOAA.

It’s better not to be a “more normal country” if that means being as prone to invasions and coups as the United States, top Russian ministers have said, firing back at bizarre remarks by a new Pentagon chief.

It would be “great” if the West “could get Russia to behave like a more normal country,” Mark Esper, the newly appointed defense secretary, was reported to have claimed while visiting Paris this week.

That remark did not go down well with Moscow, however.

“If he said so, he called upon us to act as a normal country [as such] and not like the United States,” Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told a press briefing in the Russian capital, where he and Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu had a face-to-face meeting with French counterparts.

"Otherwise, we should have been acting like the US, bombing Iraq and Libya in blatant violation of international law… We should have supported coups, violent and anti-constitutional, like the US and its closest allies did in February 2014 [in Ukraine]."

What's more, if Russia followed Washington’s instructions, then “we would have spent millions on intervening in the affairs of other countries as Congress has done by authorizing $20 million for supporting democracy in Russia,” Lavrov stated.

On his part, Shoigu also said that normalcy has a different meaning for Moscow then.

" We will probably remain [an] abnormal [country]."

Meanwhile, the visiting French officials advocated coming to terms with Russia.

“The time has come, the time is right, to work towards reducing distrust,” Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said.

Defense Minister Florence Parly added that “it is important to talk to each other, to avoid misunderstanding and friction.”

The meeting comes weeks after Russian President Vladimir Putin met with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron in late August at Bregancon, in an attempt to defuse tension and break the ice in Russia-West relations.

On that occasion, Macron vowed to create a “new architecture of security and confidence” between the EU and Russia. He pointed out that Moscow’s contribution is “essential” in helping to solve the crises in and around Iran, Ukraine, and Syria, and to work on nuclear non-proliferation.

That's to rally the anti trump voters to back the the party, and thus support whom the party wants to push. And that's biden>Warren>kamala.
Is the US version of email gate... The establishment lackies will lap it up. Sounds big, Wil occupy media space, But effectively nothing.
