I know it's been awhile, but did you get that issue sorted out yet?

Sounds like a grounding noise.
Try sanding the area where you ground the amp.

Would faster get engine whine than static from a bad amp ground.

I did an install of a new hu last weekend, thing putting out a LOT of pink noise, and it'sa constant noise that doesn't change with changes in volume up or down, but when volume is muted it lessens by about50%. No engine whine changing with rpms, just noise. I tried every trick I know, grounded by negative lead, noise. Negative lead and chassis, noise. Grounded the rcas, same noise, used a separate battery not connected to the vehicle's electrical system, same noise. Used filters on the rcas, same noise. These are just some of the things I tried, all yielding the same result. I suspect at this point that the hu itself is the problem.

are your gains set ridiculously sensitive?

I bet your system maxes out at 7 out of 60 sumn.

but just re-seat all connections for connectors and power. And set gains appropriately, you should be fine.

Dont confuse radio static to engine whine.
Some amplifier power supplies due to its cheaper design can cause this

this is something amateur/diy installers don't know or don't consider
