Successfully following The Affiliated – Pre Meet at South Park Mall, our highly dedicated and enthusiastic committee continued to work assiduously in order to ensure a successful hosting of a voluminous car meet, Affiliated 3. Previously in 2016, the team hosted Affiliated 2 in Prisons Sports Club, Arouca, thereby we were inclined to not only recreate the nostalgic atmosphere but amplify and build on what could have been regarded as the epitome of car meets, disregarding the stereotypical restrictions of specified genres within an evolving genre, from lifted off roaders needing a ladder to access their rigid cockpits to flashy ground scraping creations. Off course it would not be complete without four wheeled monsters that caused premature ventricular contractions to those shifty two wheeled crotch rockets.
This third meet was only bigger and better due to the unwavering support of the loyal vehicle junkies that eager for a safe and controlled environment to meet other enthusiast. Apart from the prodigious array of eye candy the culture included good ‘ole talk’, great food and not forgetting many gifts from numerous sponsors of the event.
The Affiliated brand tries to amalgamate all genres to create a most comprehensive car meet whilst maintaining a standard. This isn’t your typical ‘car show’. Learning from each year, planning has already started for the next meet and hopefully it will follow this incremental trend and be even more of a success than this year.
