Autofest 2016

Autofest 2016

Sell out- that’s the term you want to associate with AutoFest Volume 1. Even with another event on the same day that gave automotive enthusiasts a toss-up between which event to attend, Autofest managed to transform Bakarah Grounds into a packed automotive hub for the better part of Sunday 16th October. The monsoon just after midday may have had spectators and even entrants skeptical as to whether they wanted to leave their homes or to curl up under blanket, but as the afternoon progressed the weather improved drastically and gave way to one of the best Sundays an automotive enthusiast could ask for.

Don’t let the arsenal of GTRs fool you, Autofest was about diversity in our ever growing car community and about giving everyone an opportunity to experience other niches. That means the displays ran the gamut- from scaled RC cars to actual drift cars doing displays for the spectators.

Within the GTRs there was one that brought flocks of spectators-GarageFresh Liberty Walk GTR, the first of its kind not just in Trinidad but in the Caribbean. Look out for an entire feature soon.

Adding to the list of eye pleasers out front was the vintage Ferrari 308 Quattrovalvole and Porsche GT3. But don’t let these words limit your imagination, here’s some photos by Tevin Newton tease you…
