Let me introduce myself, my name is Mike, I am from Trinidad & Tobago and I live in Florida. I bring to you my 1989 BMW E30 coupe called “BLACK” an early 90’s icon. I’ve always had a soft spot for E30’s and owning a few by far this is my favorite. The color BLACK signifies something mean and aggressive, this was the start of the build. Why not “black it out” the interior is pretty simple but unique in its own way.
Removing the original front seats and adding a set of Honda S2000 seats was just perfect. Of course this would consist of others things to change like a 13″ NRG steering wheel, a custom cluster and a custom bolt-on cage was added with intentions of having use of the back seats. Orange was the ideal color of choice in the mix. Having a bagged car is definitely a plus, by using AIRLIFT PERFORMANCE we’re able to lay some frame and adjust the ride height while sitting inside listening to your favorite song.
You just can’t beat that! To accommodate that we added a set of AC Schitzer type2 wheels and a complete E46 brake setup with a 5 lug conversion. Moving forward to the heart of this baby, is a M3 e36 s50 mated to a M3 Getrag 5spd, this is probably one of the best swaps for an E30. It just makes this thing feel alive compared to the original M20 motor. We’ve added some simple mods like headers, intake, magna-flow exhaust and a chipped ECU. What also sets this E30 apart from the crowd is the shaved and tucked engine bay, multiple items were removed and custom fab to have a very clean appearance like no other.
