T&T circuit drivers compete in Bushy Park – Preview

Team Trinidad sets off to participate in this weekend’s Digicel Williams International Circuit Racing Event which starts a new chapter for BARL.
Three of our more experienced Racing drivers will be representing Trinidad and Tobago and competing at the Bushy Park Barbados Racing Circuit this weekend of 28th and 29th August 2010, at their International Event which will see over eighty cars from Jamaica, Guyana, UK, Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago.
This is round two of the Championship, the first took place in Dover Raceway Jamaica on 22nd May 2010, with the final scheduled for 7th November 2010 Guyana.
Nizam Mohammed and Jameer Ali are seasoned Circuit Racers, and administrators, who have competed across the Caribbean and will be leading the team as they seek to keep the TNT flag flying, this in spite of there being no local circuit Racing track available. The third driver, Jody Ali is no stranger to motor racing having successfully competed in Solodex, Drag Racing and is considered one of the best in the rapidly growing motor sport of Drifting. And in his last Drag Racing outing in St. Lucia earlier this year, he was able to earn fastest-car-of-the-day in the first outing of his 2JZ engined Toyota Supra, clocking 8.914 secs. over the quarter mile.
But this is Circuit Racing, so we will see how this dynamic trio battle on the short tight turns of the legendary Bushy Park against the best that the Caribbean has to offer.
This team was fully supported by MATT, which facilitated the processing of all shipping documents, and will be seeking to rebuild a close relationship with all of the Caribbean Teams as efforts are made to develop a Caribbean Championship Series in every discipline of Motor Sport.
