For their second meet of 2024, Cars & Coffee TT teamed up with The Arts Café, located in Maska’s compound in San Fernando. While not the usual Starbucks venue, The Arts Café offered up more than ample parking for the over 130 cars that turned up, special menu items for everyone, plus their regular menu of fantastic meals and hand-crafted beverages.
The afternoon meet got underway from 1:00 pm, and the staff were kept busy right up until 5:00 pm, as many enjoyed a late (or second) lunch, and a host of refreshing drinks. Luckily the skies cooperated, and not a drop of rain fell, following a week of heavy rains.
As is always the case when Cars & Coffee TT heads south, there was a nice mix of regulars and first-timers and fresh new eye candy. The atmosphere was the usual mix of relaxed mingling, Trini ole talk, and hours spent admiring the diverse array of cars, from Porsches to a beautifully preserved Ford Laser hatchback.
The Arts Café offered up special parking at their entrance for some of the exotics and classics. This proved to be a great idea, as everyone got to see a fantastic mix of cars including Nissan GTRs, an Mk4 Supra, Porsche 911s, Second and Third Generation RX7s, as well as a vintage Ferrari 308 GTS, Datsun 1200 pickup and Ford Capri, all beautifully restored.
In the end, the overall sentiment was ‘great new venue with great food and ambience’. The question on everyone’s lips of course was when would Cars & Coffee TT revisit The Arts Café. For now, the answer is, soon…
