Cars & Coffee Southern Hospitality

Cars & Coffee Southern Hospitality

Cars and Coffee TT finally made its way back south, to Starbucks, South Park Mall. After negotiating with the mall, which isn’t keen on mass automotive gatherings, permission was granted, based on the response from the previous Cars and Coffee TT meet at that venue.

Our team is usually first to arrive, but not this time. We were greeted by half a dozen cars, including Joel Nicholas’s Lotus Exige S, and Rob John’s Honda Civic.

By 9:00 am, we counted close to 150 cars, pickups and Off-roaders already in attendance. As always Brij Maharaj and his classic car buddies were in attendance, representing the old school with everything from a painstakingly restored Series 1 Land Rover to an unrestored Humber Super Snipe!

Other surprises included four modern Jaguars, including a gorgeous F-Type coupe. BMWs were well represented with an M3 as well as a beastly M5. Not to be outdone, Mercedes-Benz fans were treated to the ever popular black and white CLA 45s that have been to almost every event, plus two tasty red convertibles.

The off-road guys are becoming ever present with the L200 Club in attendance, a few lifted Suzuki Jimnys, and a new Ford Raptor towering over a VW Beetle and a MINI Cooper.

As always, it was a family event, and we were happy to see so many kids around, cameras in hand, plus more than a few adorable toddlers. It was also great to see so many budding young photographers practicing their craft.

With the end of 2019 fast approaching, the question was once again, ‘when’s the next Cars and Coffee?’
Stay tuned
