Bad Granny Motorsports 2015

From what I’ve heard, piecing together an event is kind of like restoring a car- a complete pain in the ass, but Bad Granny did a great job combining classic cars, with motorsport clubs, new car companies, off-roaders, stunt bikes, automotive suppliers, media, drifting, kart racing and just about anything with wheels.

DWO Super Drift Nights RD3: 24.July.06

Like every good game Drift World Order keeps levelling up for each installment of Super Drift Nights. High stakes, high boost and euphoria is the way to describe Round 3. High boost and euphoria at a drift event is more than understood, but high stakes? What stakes? What’s up with that? A 2015 tyre sponsor deal from event sponsor RaceTrac Wheels for the SDN Challenge winner, that’s what’s up!

DWO Super Drift Nights 2: 03.June.15

See it, smell it, feel it and breathe it. From late night practice runs through the mountain “trail” to hosting their second independent event with the aid of RaceTrac Wheels, it is safe to say Drift World Order ascended through the calamities to once again put on a great event.

DWO Super Drift Nights 1: 15.May.15

Taking us back to our local drift roots, DWO places a twist on events by hosting the first ever NIGHT drift event. On this Friday night, the Center of Excellence, Macoya came alive with the sound of braaaaappp. And if I were to sum up the crowd turn out, I will have to twist Erphaan Alves Bumper like Rain chorus to “whey all dem people does come from daddy!”

Trinidad and Tobago Drift Association (TTDA) held its first public event for the year on Sunday 22nd March 2015 at the Arima Race Club’s car park. This event, the first of four planned for 2015 intended to place drifters in mild competition, while showcasing the sport and training new interested drivers to expand the exposure of the drift scene in Trinidad and Tobago.

TTDA Drift Practice 1

TTDA Drift Practice 1

Minus the pressures of competition, drifters be it new, old or prospective were given the chance to practice all day on a course that actually mirrored one of the holy grail of drift tracks in Japan, Ebisu. Drivers either did the beginner’s layout or tackled the much more technical drift circuit, both under the watchful eye of other experienced drifters, who gave pointers and discussions allowing all to progress.
