DWO Super Drift Nights RD3: 24.July.06

Like every good game Drift World Order keeps levelling up for each installment of Super Drift Nights. High stakes, high boost and euphoria is the way to describe Round 3. High boost and euphoria at a drift event is more than understood, but high stakes? What stakes? What’s up with that? A 2015 tyre sponsor deal from event sponsor RaceTrac Wheels for the SDN Challenge winner, that’s what’s up!

menace

You’d think a sponsorship deal would have competitors bitter to each other as they battle to reach the top, but that’s not drift culture at all! Keep drifting fun is what DWO said and that’s what they ensured on Friday the 24th July at the Center of Excellence’s rear car park, Macoya.

As far as drift events go Round 3 followed the regular format- training, practice and competition. The course set up for the challenge was by far the most difficult of the series and followed stricter rules for the judging of the winner, but challenging courses and strict rules are no match for the Dirty Projects camp as their youngster Brad Birbal roasted tires to take win for the event.

In addition to regular pre event planning and logistics DWO also threw a Facebook contest out to the public- repost the event flyer and the post with the most likes wins a SDN tshirt and two entry bands.

Sponsorship deal, facebook promotion- anything else? Of course! There were many crowd give aways and specially awarded prizes for the drifters and last but not least special appearance by the stunters of BinStuntin showing off their mad skills…
