DynoLab | RTune: Dyno Day

DynoLab | RTune: Dyno Day

Your non-car friends and family would have probably given you strange looks when you said you were heading to an auto event in Williamsville, but that’s exactly where the action was on May 12. Specifically, the action was at Rtune / Dynolab’s second annual Dyno Day.

Building on the epic event in 2017, Neither Nicholas Mooloo of Dynolab nor Ryan Seepersad of Rtune got much rest during the week leading up to Dyno Day 2018, in an effort to make it even more fun, epic and memorable than the first event.  And yes, they delivered!

Aside from some epic pulls, enthusiasts were treated to the now standard bicycle pull, where challengers tried to lay down the most whp on a bicycle, as well as the new for 2018 pit-stop challenge, were teams had to race against the clock, NASCAR style, to swap all four wheels on a racing car, with nothing but a standard scissor jack, power bar and elbow grease, and of course what geared would be satisfied if there wasn’t a burnout competition! Also, did we mention, you could get FOUR dyno pulls for just $100? Yup, that’s right, anyone was free to spin the rollers four times for $100.00.

A host of companies sponsored prizes, ranging from hampers to store credit. The star of the day was surely Kristian Boodoosingh. Not only did he bring both his Motul sponsored racing cars, but he put both cars on the rollers, and walked away with top honors in the highest boosted, highest NA, highest Mitsubishi and highest front wheel drive WHP.

With the action going well into the night, Rtune and Dynolab once again delivered on the hype created by their pre-event teaser video. Our advice for 2018 is to come early, grab a parking spot, and don’t plan on getting home in time for dinner.
