the timing chain needs to be removed in order to remove the head....

i think that a tool is needed to set the cam / crank

please no "after the fact remarks" just need someone who has done it before.

the vehicle is a bmw e36 (m43b16 engine)

1995 model - e316i saloon

removed the head to check for warpage - (found none)

bought new timing chain

looking for any assistance on how to re - time the engine.

how do i order a dme w/o chip
and where can i get it sync

the engine is starting but it sputters and goes dead

the mech says that the problem is the DME

the injectors are staying open or something like that

i have a bmw 316i with a M43 engine
the mechanic says that the DME is gone
can i purchase a DME online (from another car - bmw 316i)
and use it in my car?
or are there any considerations about the EWS system?
