Have you tried using two pairs of hands? Also try getting the ends to clip in first before working into the middle? Sometimes you need to give some a good twack as the bumper is flexible and so is the oem diffuser.

What portion of the clips aren't aligning or does it vary each time you try?

What is wrong with the world today? Saw a brand new PDD jetta pull up at the gas station and full up with super right next to me ....
