Re: Avenir SR20DET wiring - weak spark

For anyone curious, the problem was the 12V feed to the coil positive. On the liberty harness the 12V feed for the coil comes from the ECCS relay. I have the switched 12V feed to the distributor and around 10V on crank which is normal. As the voltage checks out OK I assume it seems to be an amperage...

Anyone knows if the Avenir and VVL distributors are the same? I see they are both 8pin.

Re: Avenir SR20DET wiring - weak spark

I did try 3 distributors in all, but as you said all used. While possible I would find it strange that they would all have the same problem and unfortunately I had no other vehicle to test them on. There are new plugs and relatively new plug wires from my GA16 engine that was known working. I did tr...

Avenir SR20DET wiring - weak spark

Hi folks, I recently installed an Avenir style SR20DET into my B14 and now having some issues getting it to start. The particular version of the engine is from the Nissan liberty. I am getting a very weak spark out of the distributor, too weak to start the engine. Initially I though it may have been...

SR20DET (PNM12) into B14

I have a SR20DET from a liberty (PNM12) which I am looking to install into my B14. I wanted to mate this to a small spline LSD gearbox but currently encountering issues with the axles and the rear gearbox bracket. Re: Pulsar AD22VF rebuild kit

I think I got a regular B14 kit when I bought it, the piston size was the same as the regular B14 so the kit worked but it didn't have the slide pin insert rubber. The caliper works properly, but it doesn't retract after hitting the brake pedal because the slide pins get stuck in the slide pin rubbe...

Pulsar AD22VF rebuild kit

Does anyone know where I can get a full rebuild kit for the Pulsar AD22VF calipers? I have a problem where one caliper only holds on half the rotor. You can actually see the caliper rocking to one side when you apply brakes. The slide pins are good and well lubricated with brake grease but it seems ...

Re: p11 rear shocks/springs on a b14

If I recall correctly that p11 setup should be about an inch shorter than the B14 setup. I don't know what the actual height may be after install. I am guessing you may be a little bit lower than stock.

Re: B14 LSD Gearbox Axles

I tried a couple regular axles but it still leaks when using "LSD" gear oil. If I use straight 90 body oil it barely leaks, but I am guessing it affects the LSD as the car runs like crap after about 30km, feels like its holding back with some major power loss. After 30km the engine revs bu...

Hey guys, I am running a G16 LSD gear box on my B14 but having some problems with the right sides axle. The right side axle cup I got with the box seems to be a little longer than it should be. It mounts up perfectly fine, however it seems that it is maybe about an half inch longer than it should be...

Most likely the tiens. I have the gold tiens on my 14 and It does make the car firmer through the corners however the ride is a bit rough for daily use. The height drop is around 2.5" front and 1.7 or 1.8" in the back. I believe the green tiens are a little higher. The B14 only has about 3...

This should be a simple procedure. You may need to use an impact screwdriver to remove the "phillips" screws holding it down as some times it is very difficult to break them free with a regular screwdriver. You generally don't need to silicone the entire area, just where the cam "hump...
