Re: Tucson

So update on the Tucson window. I disassembled the door myself on Saturday and removed the window motor. I wanted to test the motor off of the door to verify whether it was working. I removed the motor from the gear assembly (window regulator), plugged all the harnesses back in, including the master...

Re: Tucson

Guys, my drivers side window recently stopped working. It's actually been malfunctioning for a while now but finally quit. I'm 100% sure it's the button, which happens to be the whole 'Master window controller' module. Where can I buy one where I won't get my eye dig out? Part #: 93570-D3141 2020 Tu...

Re: Tucson

Hey guys. PDY Tucson with 13,000 KM and Massy says both the compressor and evaporator need to be replaced. Being done under warranty but just wondering if this is a common Tucson problem?

Also point to note, there isn't any Turbo XV or Crosstrek in existence, even in the North American market.

Re: T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

Yeah.... I knew that couldn't be correct. First red flag is them calling it a Crosstrek. Second red flag is a 2.5 liter engine car being cheaper than my 1.6 car lol. No way. FYI, I got my fully loaded 1.6 Eyesight XV for $295, because it was a 'showroom' car. If I wanted to wait on another one, it w...

Re: T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

You sure that's not a north american ad you looking at bro? Cuz that wording is straight from Subaru North America. For one, we don't call it the Crosstrek, and the one they are referring to is a 2.5 liter engine.

Re: T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

The CX-3 is tiny. You won't fit baby gear in that trunk. The CX-30 isn't that much bigger. I have an XV and a golf bag with clubs fits exact so you can probably scratch that as well. The only car that will fit your needs IMO is the CX-5.

Re: T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

My wife drives the 2019 Tucson DCT. Mid Spec. It's a nice car, but the DCT does make it weird to drive in certain situations. No powered tailgate, no leather seats, no cruise control of any kind. Her commute (pre-covid) was 20 mins from home to work at worst. She's super easy on her cars so hopefull...

Re: T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

Are there any reported issues on the DCT on the new Tuscon? Is it the same as the last-gen or has Hyundai updated it? From reviews, the DCT was a failure in the USA but it was fine in other markets, but I'm not finding much information locally. Too early to know this. I THINK the new one is a 'wet ...

Re: T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

So just about a week with my Subaru XV 1.6 Eyesight car, findings so far: My commute Monday to Friday is 112km mostly highway. Adaptive cruise control: I've enabled this feature every day from the Sea Lots lights until my turnoff at Claxton Bay, and vice versa when heading home. Depending on the wea...

why the fear of the DCT? The salesperson claimed that CC is Adaptive - can anyone confirm? The Tuscon looked good - pictures did not do it justice. I looked at the CX30 at SS while there the core plus is 308 but it is small. The CX5 is 360 now not sure which trim. 2021+ Tucson specs: Smartstream 15...

Re: T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

Breakdown of features of the new models.

The picture of the center console infotainment deck are misleading as it shows the 10 inch full touch model which Trinidad didn’t get. We get the 8 inch infotainment with the old model software, and physical buttons to each side of it for volume, etc.

Friend was just given a quote for the 1.6 HTRAC Tucson. Price changed from $335,000 to $349,000.

When questioned, sales rep says the 335 was introductory price.

Oh yes airbags! A sales person told me once, the more airbags you have, if you end up in a little collision that triggers the sensors, it could mean a constructive total loss (CTL) on your vehicle due to the cost to replace the bags and the seatbelts etc. He may have a point but you can’t put a pri...

Re: T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

Very interesting read. I took a look at the CRV last week. Really nice car, but the price was way above my budget. I'd jump to say that ANSA being greedy. I'd LOVE to see what all the dealerships are paying in USD for the cars they sell, I wouldn't doubt that we are being ripped off all around. My b...

I decided to go with the Subaru XV 1.6 Eyesight. Test drove the car and honestly it was fine. No, it's not a race car. I mostly stick to the speed limit on the highway and I'm happy to do so. The safety features sold it for me.
