WI 18/6 2nd innings

They are desperately trying to break their record for their lowest ever test score.

Phil Simms MUST go after this series.

But did they kneel before the match??

LOl
at least the WI women's team won, against Ireland 8-)

Re: ****the official CRICKET thread*****

Alot of persons laughed at Chase when he scored a run a ball 50 vs Afghanistan, WI made 133/5 in that game a few day ago.
Now everyone seeing the importance of that innings, although they still lost, the power hitters have to bat around him the same way they did when Samuels was in the team.

Re: ****the official CRICKET thread*****

That's the price u pay for leaving out the only batsman who could stabilize the innings, the T20 game like all the other formats have evolved but WI for whatever reason decide to remain the same, a batting line up of only bit hitters

Gayle and Lewis have opened alot of innings together, for both Wi and SKNP, they had some good partnerships, before Gayle's consistency started to fade away

Namibia beat Ireland this morning to qualify alongside Sri Lanka for the main phase. Or a more apt name might be South Africa A given how much South Africans they have. Only 3, most notably David Wiese who actually played for SA, all 3 have at least 1 Namibian parent. With a population of just over...

On another note didn't know players across there as net bowlers. CSK has replaced Curran with Dominic Drakes who is a net bowler for them in the Emirates.

yes Akeal Hosein is also there as a net bowler for KKR

Should've been in the T20 World Cup squad ahead of Edwards. But I'm guessing they want they extra pace of Edwards. He was also the 2nd highest wicket taker in the last Super 50 cup but the WI selectors seemed to have moved past him... Still goin strong tho! Rather him than Edwards since he's more c...

Nah they shouldn't use this as the basis for inducting new players to the WI T20 team because the performances here are against mostly domestic cricketers or washed up international players. Our T20 series we've played in the recent past should be the basis for selection to the WI T20 team for the ...

Re: ****the official CRICKET thread*****

TKR lost chasing down 142. This CPL will probably be a low scoring one. At least last year Trinidad used two grounds but all matches here are being played on one which would fatigue the pitch significantly. Jamaica posted a mammoth 255/5 yday! Russel 50 off 14 balls Nice win for TKR last night, top...

Re: ****the official CRICKET thread*****

WI batsmen seem to lack the patience to bat on such testing pitches, too many aerial shots when bogged down, trying to hit out in frustration when they should be looking for singles and rotating strike. SMH
