Re: sx4 owners

Any updates from the SCross SX4 owners? Where are the 2015 models made? Tuner soo has 1 Maybe he can shed some light Yea it's made in Hungary. Door plate has Magyar Suzuki. It's just like the mid spec vitara and same price too. Same features locally. Interior a bit nicer imo. External styling is a ...

Re: NEW VEHICLE PRICES IN TRINIDAD & TOBAGO

just a reminder to all. check your tyre pressures when you get your ride from the firm. all my tyres were on 42 psi. i think they do it for transportation.. but damn... fix that when you about to hand over to the customer ! maybe they forgot....

Re: Structural Steel Advice

Rory pholourie talking sense. 12 ft span is pretty small. BBFL Consultants is another good structures firm to add to his list. Maybe you can get rory pholourie to do it for you if he is R.Eng as a private job (PJ). It will be a lot cheaper than to go through "the Engineering firms" but bea...

Re: Power window problems

most likely its the cable in the window regulator that is frayed or the motor itself is going. Can be serviced or replaced. Have gotten both my power windows serviced already. One time it was the motor was broken. The other time the cable was frayed so that as it moved along the track it would move ...

Re: Do Masters in UK, USA or UWI?

Has anyone actually examined the course content of each institution? I have had that opportunity, ad my verdict is that they are similar. UTT even has a more diverse curriculum than UWI, teaching a lot more practical applications in each topic. People leave UTT with a clue about industry and the sy...

Re: Do Masters in UK, USA or UWI?

Um... what is the secret sauce that makes a UWI graduate an Engineer? It is the same curriculum, the same theories, the same lessons. I don't remember having any special classes teaching me how an engineer deports himself, drinking tea with a pinky up as such. All of the courses I took were of a pu...

Re: Do Masters in UK, USA or UWI?

I have colleagues who got upper 2nds in UWI Civil Engineering and they got into Imperial. The deciding factor is normally cost of the degree. They are VERY expensive. You are looking at 300,000 dollars for that year including rent and living expenses. What's the return on investment? Also, should lo...

Re: Owners of Kia Cerato/Cerato Koup

I would like to be an owner of the Koup however SSL is making it a bit difficult. Called today and got an estimate faxed over, all fine and dandy. However they are telling me that the 2.0 may not come with a sunroof and WILL NOT be coming manual. They are saying no manual vehicles will be brought i...

Re: need help figuring out this CK2 Issue

i get this issue too. if i let the car idle drop for itself on a morning it doesn't give any trouble at all. it's like an old fashioned warm up on a carbuerated car. takes about 30 seconds for the rpm to drop. same thing i have to do at lunch time which is about 4 hours of not driving. i need to let...

Re: Issues with JDM boss kit on a local car

the spline connection is the most important part. u want that to grip the inside of the boss kit. I would get another boss kit. check Ontheinside on the forums to see if he has one that will work for you. You can mod any other part of the boss kit but this part. the other mods are to get the indicat...

Re: Salaries of Professionals in T&T

this answer is heavily dependent on sector. oil sector? law? engineering ? sales? marketing ? advertising ? accounting ? foreign company vs local company. contract employment vs permanent employment? overtime or no overtime experience of applicant... could be from 8k - 30k with all those variables.
