Re: LF: Good printer for home

OP

My 7 year old Brother failed a few weeks ago and I needed a replacement printer asap.

Got a HP 6475 for $1100 from Wizz.

It's a multifunction, print, scan and copy. Only issue is that it does not accommodate legal size paper.

So far so good.

Re: Building a house in Trinidad

It's not so simple. At all points where the roof I-beam connects to the ring beam, there should be about two rebar left exposed in the ring beam each about 12". These are then wrapped around the I-beam and then both welded together to make the bond permanent. The same would apply if using chann...

Re: :: The official TOOLS thread ::

The only blade used was the clearing blade which came when I got the wacker. Using a blade takes some skill because the bush tends to fall back on the wacker and, for me, got tangled up a few times in the head. Unlike the line which kicks everything away and clears as it cuts. anybody ever use them ...

Re: The Deals Thread (Prime Day, Black Friday, Sales)

Yup. There were some items on my wish list and I noticed that over the last few weeks the prices slowly increased and then they're now back to the price back when it was first added to the wish list. Typical tactic from Amazon. There are some good deals, especially on the Amazon devices and some cam...

Dude. You do know cats can jump. And they can jump quite high too... No cats there anymore... I just established a lawn and since putting the lawn their is poop in my lawn.. Some Lutron caseta doesn't need the neutral and can work with the Lutron bridge. The trade-off there is that only a single caseta device will fit into the standard 2x4 cans. With the advent of this smart tech, construction and wiring methods have changed to some degree compared to years ago. This ma...

Well guys, thanks for the productive conversation re: feral cats. I think I and we have spammed up the cat lovers' thread with some off topic, albeit feline related, information.

Let's be wary lest Rovin boof me again as he did some posts ago. [emoji846][emoji846][emoji846]

Re: Building a house in Trinidad

My home is 2 storey but I haven't started the upstairs yet, I just blocked around the downstairs and live there. A good mason will be about $400 - $500 per day.

A labourer is about $300 per day. A good labourer who can do some masonry work may run about $400.

what happens is as it is almost closed the high pressure causes the little trickle to vibrate and it never closes properly you need to strap a piece of wood to the fill line to steady it Ok yes I’ve turned off the supply so when I decant it down to the normal level I’ll try this . So even if I drop it off somewhere bushy/forested, it will still try to go to an urban area? Won't they survive in the bush? Did a jerk from scratch a few years ago. Didn't have any pimento wood. Made a few foil sachets with pimento berries (ie all spice) and star anise and let that smoke. Removed the sachet when spent and threw on another. Best jerk I ever made. I get some jamaican jerk seasoning from jamaica.... So i go...

Never used a manicou trap before. Can you send some details on the wooden box? What to use as bait? If shelters won't take the cat(s), I'll release them is some desolate bushy area far away from houses. They'll survive there no doubt if they are wild. that is real pressure only solution is trap them...

Cat lovers - serious question. Two of my neighbours adopted a few strays over the year. These cats have multiplied and there now about 6 cats. Folks living at the end of my street feed some more strays and of course, these are not leaving and they too multiply. None of these "owners" seem ...

Call Speciality Chemicals Ltd (SCL).

They have many products that will be able to solve your problems.

I have a few ideas but SCL is better equipped to advise.

Call the retail store in Barataria.

This is much better than WIFI as the connection is lossless (compared to WIFI). You can keep a WiFi network available for your wireless devices, but for ...

Daily is best. The ground should be damp not soaked. If you used plugs, you need to encourage the plugs to take root. Remember that the grass was stressed with all the cutting up into plugs. So you need to help it along by ensuring it does not get heat stressed. Once the plugs take root and the clum...
