Re: WTK: 2015 3.2 Ranger AC dashboard strange sound

Have the same problem with my wildtrack. Did some checks and found out it was the vent door actuator trying to find the correct position. Its a regular problem with ford. eventually all the vent door actuators will give that trouble. If you have dual ac you would realize that half blowing colder tha...

Re: WTK-- ALTERNATOR GONE HOW TO CHECK

A friend of mine had a similar issue in his car with it cutting off when the battery pole was disconnected. We found out that it was the main fuse that was attached to the positive terminal. It visually looked good, no signs of being blown but on closer inspection it actually was. it did not break i...

Re: Timing belt change and problem.

Hey guys, just a follow up question concerning the degree of play in the crank shaft. In having such movement with the crank being about 10 degrees ahead (which would make the cams sort of in a retard state), would that cause a signigicant loss in compression that would hurt efficiency/performance/p...

Timing belt change and problem.

Hey tuners. I need some advice, opinions etc. for the past weeks i've been dealing with a drastic drop in fuel mpg, like from 25mpg to 16mpg. So i decided to check change the usual stuff ,new O2 sensor, tested MAP,coolant, tps sensors, plug wires spark plug. But nothing helped. Someone then told me ma...

Re: Help with sensors on a 4g15 dohc

thanks for the the assist snorth. However my a/c compressor wire is green-white from the ecu. I actually saw some engine manuals that said it was the a/c comp wire, but that was for an earlier model engine. btw does your car have any of the mentioned sensors. the baro would be somewhere to the front...

Re: WTK; Engine light check code 24

ok cool. But i forgot to mention that the description next to vss it only says abnormal and nothing else not even open/short circuit. I'm guessing they mean now and then open/short ckt. Well i'll just run a fresh connection from the ecu to the sensor and see what happens.

Vehicle- 2002 cs2 Engine- 4g15 DOHC Tiptronic (conversion) I pulled the code using the method of grounding pin 1 of the obd2 connector according to the service manual. But the manual is mor...

I did and engine change on it to a 4g15 twin cam that came from the CK2 model lancer. i used back the original low pressure pump that comes in the tank to fuel the eng...

Re: WTK: 4G15GDI CONVERSION TO 4G15DOHC OR 4G92 MIVEC OR ???

yep, i get the same problem also while accelerating. i was gonna try using one from a b14 as these are about 150-$200 used, to see if it would make a difference. i'll let you know of the results when i try it. also that SRI may actually cause you to burn more fuel and reduce performance. from what i...

evil_gdi, when you did the conversion, did you install a high pressure pump or did you use back the low pressure pump in the tank it came with? i want to know because i did the same install some time ago and i used the low pressure pump only that came intank with the GDI lancer. i need to know if i'...

Re: 4g15 wiring question

well i got a Ck tiptronic shifter, that works for now, the only thing its a little lower than the CS shifter and more square in shape as compared to the CS. but with a little fabrication it may turn out pretty good. The original engine that came in the CS was a GDI 4g15. Soo there was a lot of wirin...

Re: 4g15 wiring question

thanks snorth. i got it to work perfect today. It seems that there is no particular wiring required for the tip tronic model 4g15 dohc to work. every single colour coded wire for the 4g13,15 sohc and 4g15 dohc and also tip tronic models are the same. however it was not as simple as plug in and start...

Its the wire colours on the harness fron the ECU e.g ign, battery, fuel pu...
