Re: Petrotrin refinery to shut down

Have they stated how much they are paying a litre for the imported gas? That is one of the most important questions that needs answering... I want to see the specs of the gas. Wouldn’t be surprised if they bringing 90 and saying is 92. I find it hilarious that people who don't drive their own vehic...

Re: Petrotrin refinery to shut down

Why is the price of imported gas important? As I mentioned before the size of the fuel subsidy is used AGAINST the population - if the gas is costing the government more it increases the subsidy and allows the government to take away social programs and expand their privatization of the economy - no...

Re: Petrotrin refinery to shut down

The Finance minister stated in the Budget that the OWTU still has first preference to buy the refinery... If the government remains true to its word we may see the rise of a very powerful "Worker owned co-op" were the workers set their own salaries and hire the managers - very interesting ...

Re: We have fuel for 20 days after Petrotrin refinery closed - Khan

Here is what I think going to happen. No price increase in fuel for the budget. This will show the people no need to worry PETROTRIN can shutdown. If the price of imported fuel is more they will hold the price for the rest of the election term. His will sweeten up the people. If they win next elect...

Gas price is not going to be touched in this budget, unless it is to LOWER fuel prices Our Gasoline will come from Venezuela (until we get some embargoes placed on us by the US) With the OWTU marching on POS this week it would be dumb to put the public on the side of the union - better to mamaguy th...

Re: Petrotrin refinery to shut down

Trinidad is the only country where buying gasoline and diesel is cheaper than buying crude and making gasoline and diesel Remember they have to run the refinery at full capacity therefire they have to buy more than 100000 barrels per day of crude to add to our 40000 per day The huge mega refineries...

The subsidy on gas on the pump was originally paid by these royalties, our governments decided to go easy on "Big Oil" and instead charge the small man at the pump

Actually once your eyes settle and you have a good optometrist you can go 10 years with the same prescription. My wife is on the same prescription for 6 year so far There is a range of about 3 strengths that your eyes can’t tell the difference. If you use stronger of the 3 then your eyes slowly get...
