The button works, so I'm more inclined to believe it's the wire.. either loose or broken. Can a regular auto electrician check it, or do I have to go to a transmission repair place?

ok, well you're right.. it is in fact a hold button. But I think it's working in reverse based on what you said. For instance, when I start the car, the hold light is lit on the dash. Naturally I press the button to disengage the hold function, but as I said, if I move the shifter at all (like from ...

WTK: Mazda 323F overdrive fault

Hey tuners, recently bought myself a Mazda 323F sport (local PBD model) as a runabout... gotta say I'm throughly impressed by it considering it's 10 years old. When I put down the windows, open the sunroof and pump up some 4 Strings, it's bliss! I only have one beef with the car tho... the overdrive...

Thanks x2floor for d compliment. I think the fundamental issue here is profit. Look at the JDM. A Bluebird Sylphy would not be competing against a Camry for instance... it would still be a competitor to a Corolla, Lancer or Mazda 3. For export markets, it's a much different story though. As x2floor ...

Prices of RORO cars... doh figure!

Hey ppl, Does anyone know if the Government removed the restriction on the amount of RORO cars that can be imported? I mean just looking at the Port Authority's lot by Movie Towne since January and it definitely seems that the imposed quota for RORO cars (I think it was 30,000) was long passed. So a...

That's the thing... the car has minimal rust on it, hence I think the price is high.

Hook me up with some names and numbers so I could carry the car to get quotes

Actually the Tiida is based on the Renault Clio platform. The USDM Sentra is based on the Megane.

Neal & Massey just seems to be hell bent on on maximising profits and ripping off their customers. Just look at the model range and it's easy to see. The Frontier they sell here was replaced over a year ago, yet their prices remain the same. Then they introduced the Tiida as the local replacement fo...

Help: reasonably priced body work

Need some help locating someone who does excellent body work at a reasonable price. I'm from the west and the prices in POS are all around $10k for a body job and paint over to an older model car. If possible, I'd like to cut that price in half. I've heard that prices are cheaper in central and sout...

1st Gen Toyota Celica: Bumpers & other parts wanted

I have a purchase lined up for a 1st generation Toyota Celica GT. It's the liftback model, with the 20R 2.2L engine. Unfortunately, it's LHD (imported from the US) but I figured thats small ting since these cars are very rare worldwide, so why not own a piece of automotive history. The car needs a t...
