Re: WTK: Nissan Technican

Well company work is usually more expensive. At these early intervals you should be making sure your fluids are the recommended kind and changes done correctly. You can get a lot of information from your owner's manual.

Re: Engine operating temperature (discussion only)

The engine runs better below operating temp? What you should be aware of is fuel status (open and closed). Open is cold engine/WOT, the fuel is not being adjusted by the ECM. Closed is warm idle and low speeds, the ECM adjusting fuel. These terms will take us into fuel trim but I'm trying to make th...

Re: Is there anyway I can fit this 4g63t head on GDI?

The 4g63t head is used on the non GDI block and even when you do it involves changing pistons at least owing to high compression. GDI pistons are much different than conventional type, a complete swap may be the best route.

You are always getting shaft when buying parts. To rebuild might run around 11-18k so 5-6k is a healthy guess. Last I heard was around 6k.

Re: Question about engine swap wiring...

The fact that you asking that means you should leave your wiring alone. You've provided almost no information but I'll try to see how I can help. Most likely you're dealing with a PCM running both engine and transmission, some lights and controls will come from that and others from respective module...

Yes qg's work in Lancers. I like Mitsubishi engines over Nissan but when you look at availability and cost I understand why someone would put the Nissan engine.

These still hot cars, bandit want them. How minor are the issues? They're easy/cheap to upkeep but there's a reason why they're cheap. Qg easy and cheap to find so that's a plus.
