Re: tyres

Recently tried Toyo DRB, IMO it works as good as the T1R, perhaps even better.
Plus the tread-ware is higher.

What price did motorist quote for the valve seals? And make sure that it's VE and not DE valve seals they selling you, cause they're different.

Re: SR20ve burning oil

I would like to stop the car from smoking for one. Also, I previously never had to top up any oil watsoever between changes. The fact that I switched to 15w50 and I am still burning oil seems to suggest that some parts have been worn or compromised and i would like to correct this. That is because ...

Re: *** Ask All SR gear box questions in here ***

But seriously, if it's from the VZ-R Pulsar it will be fin cooled, top/side mount, small spline and cable.

If it's from a VZ-R B15 it will be top/side mount, big spline and hydraulic.

Does any cam make power to the rev limit? SR16 doesn't, N1 doesn't, Kelford doesn't, the purpose of revving high is to stay in VVL during gear changes.

Re: QG18 Primera SR20 Primera

You will need the P11 SR driver and passenger side mounts, your existing crossmember mounts will work back but you will need the SR front and rear brackets.

Re: QG18 Primera SR20 Primera

You will need the SR driver side mount and bracket that is spot welded to the apron, you will also need to change your radiator.

SR20DE is very economical (runs super) and parts easy to get almost anywhere.

Re: sr20VE with DET Pistons???

Use the VE head and block because its newer and has better coolant flow, and has a superior oil pump, drill and tap block for oil return and make oil feel for turbo, put the DET crank/rods/pistons/girdle in, get new bearings while you at it. Last but not least get a bigger turbo... at least a T28......

If tap water is used as coolant it can rot the impeller blades down and cause overheating at higher RPM, I've come across this many times.
