Talk about old post resurrection

For the SOHC F20B...you won't find alot of options outside of the Kamikaze and Bisimoto to name a few. If you can afford it...go bisimoto...if not you can always find a Fujitsubo lurking aound the bamboo somewhere.

Bisimoto is a high end header. He specializes in F series parts...after all he has a 9 second SOHC F series engine....and thats all motor power. 8-) 8-) The price is near $1000 USD. Your choice (but it makes power dependent on you engine mods)

http://bisimoto.net/store/index.php?mai ... =3_8_77_81

The H22 head flows awesomely well....much better than the SOHC F. If you can put one on do it, but essentially you'll be creating a lower compression H22 on that block. That's when boost looks great...SOHC F series LOVE boost.

You should probably look into going turbo rather than trying the all motor route if you're looking for more power

Reixmann, what ah meant was, that it is cheaper and easier to get a crush bent pipe made up. And to compensate for the poorer flow, a slightly larger diameter is better.

Hence the 2 1/2" crush bend. Scene???

2.5" crush bend is fine for your proposed setup. 2.5" mandel is a bit much for a b16 with light mods. Someone mentioned backpressure... that term always thrown around incorrectly. The exhaust pressure and velocity gets fubar when you go too big... particularly on a b16. A regular ITR header and 2.5" crush bent exhaust won't be too bad for the money you will spend.

Headers the likes of a Bisi, T1R, Comptech are typically not worth the investment unless you don't have too many parts to replace... they also typically need some form of re-tuning to get a clean a/f ratio to make the power claims. As mentioned, don't waste the money on a new DC header... the quality has gone down from years ago.

Weapon R is a decent go between !

Guys, firstly what is the stock size pipe that the b16a carries, not sure? You see when I looked at at my exhaust pipe, the size was looking like 2 3/8" (STRANGE), its stock never interfered with it, never changed it either. In my opinion, the 2 1/2" will work better, but a better flow will definately come from something with a bigger bore and less bends and less restrictions.

I'm absolutely sure that exhaust you got isn't stock IF the size is 2 3/8". That's the size that most Japanese aftermarket catback systems carry. Honda never ran that size pipe on the SiR.

will the 2 1/4" work for a slightly modded B18c1, ie. 4-2-1 headers, intake, type R or skunk 2 stage 1 cams and ecu :?:
