thats ur problem right there.

stock honda map sensors are not allowed to see boost pressures above 8psi. it seeing boost +8psi will throw a code and immediately put the car in safe mode.

you be needing to get a "map bypass valve"

you can make one as well with some fishtank hose and T connectors

but the actual map bypass valve is a loootttttt neater!

avg cost 4-500 from turbo klub

the honda map will see up tuh 10psi, the ecu on the other hand will send a MIL if over .5psi in seeing on the map sensor
option 1:
move to OBD1 and get a chipped ecu
option 2:
get a map bypass valve

did you try resetting the ecu.... or more importantly did you pull the code to see why it was comin on for ???

That's the BOOST light meng...

And the honda MAP sensor can read up to 11psi based my past projects...

Xplod... give more info on your fueling setup... without any type of one way check valve, you should not be able to produce 1psi without a check light.... even so, check valves are not perfect.

i used 10 cuz crome and hondata will not let you use 11psi for any setting for boost control... honda stock map in really 1.7bar that gives you 10.3 psi, seeing the honda run s of the average 4 supporting columns, if you are 10 the program will read 11 also.
so you can run 11 if you sett-up ur limits right... but the map will not see 11 psi
note i am not sayin you can't run 11psi, just that the map will not see the 11psi.

Kes... I'm ya know the old school methods of fueling a car for boost.... that's how I learned about turbos... then came ecu tuning.... so we all laugh at the old school methods now, but they do work.

Xplod... a missing link is a whole unit you must purchase... it's compact and looks stockish.

You can fab up a series of fish tank check valves (4 or 5) teed of the map sensor inlet. It's not the prettiest, but it works.
